30 years ago, Channel 9 in NY had Paul Hogan at 7, and Benny Hill at 7:30 on Saturday nights. Why can I only find these videos on PAL format these days?

@tamioftroy I don't like the term sketch comedy...i don't think that such a term existed in Hoges' era..think that came into usage when the later (not so funny) shows came on telly (the one's with shaun micallef etc)...to me that term is kind of a waiver if the said show is not funny or worse still, down right terrible...a far cry from the comic genius of Hogan's show.

i grew up with this on the east coast..the paul hogan show would come on sat nights and i would watch it and we would talk about it in school on monday..27 years later it is still funny and now i'm a SWAT guy showing this skit in my class
