i don't trust xplay for reviews because all of their reviews are only like 2 minutes. you cannot effectively convey game impressions in 2 fucking minutes. you need at least 5. ideally try for ten. then even if people don't agree with your opinion they have more insight as to why you feel that way.

dude the villians in this game are hilarious. the midget guy is the best of the lot, and i think he made the first half of the game entertaining for me...

@Shadow52758 Much like MTV is no longer about the music, and supplements what it no longer can provide with reality shows. Yup, television isn't held to the same standards it used to be. It used to be that misinformation and false advertising would get companies into a lot of trouble; now it's cause for promotion and bonuses. What's really sad is that youth these days sitting around watching day-time TV are what's allowing this to be perpetuated, while some negligent parent sits back and relaxes

@shikaidude Ever think that those people you presume to be coming back hadn't seen a review by whomever they chose to watch?

Also, watching a company's review of a game people are looking forward to doesn't mean they must automatically agree with everything said--that's ludicrous. If you don't like people's comments because they're not being constructive and/or bashing others then simply block their profile. No logical reason to get all pissy about it.

But ya, Blair Herter rarely informs us about specifics of a game in his reviews; instead relying on cheesy jokes and the game's own dialogue out of context. As I see it--much like IGN tends to be--he's all too opinionated and isn't thorough enough.

@TezChi I agree. Most of the mainstream reviewers are all bias. I find it best to look at online reviews because they have nothing to gain or lose. I bought this game, and love it. It's a fresh look at a turnbased/real time jrpg. If you like Dark Cloud 2 you'll like this one.

Really, its all been done before? Whens the last time you got to control a 20 foot giant robot-esque suit of armor? Vanguard Bandits was about the closest to anything like this. Yeah there's a princess to save, but when in the hell isn't there in this kind of game?

its an freaking rpg ofcourse its done before, like FF is refreshing :S if you dont like stertypes and repeating dont reviuew a rpg dude.

Dear god I'm so glad I'm not alone.. This game was absolutely nothing like I had anticipated. A bit disappointing to me personally, but I did love the environments and boss fights, that's really about it. Other than that it felt like a repeat of other RPGs and the battle system was MMO all over again. I've read reviews around the web saying pretty much the same thing and people bashing them with hate comments, I'm betting those people don't even own the game..
