This song is being ruined by advertisers in Canada. 3 different ads are using this music at the same time. Not to mention the previous ads using it.
Note to Canadian advertisers. You have squandered the value of this song. It's now a meaningless melodic enticement to move some product. The use of this tune is way beyond saturation point.
aaa when singers still had to have at least a quarter of the talent that peggy had to become popular not now where most singers cant sing and ther career is based on auto-tune .. go peggy <3
65 years ago today in 1946 Peggy Lee, with her husband Dave Barbour and His Orchestra, recorded the tracks (which they also co-wrote) "Don't Be So Mean To Baby" (which remains unreleased), "It's A Good Day" (which Capitol Records will release as single #322 with "He's Just My Kind" on the flip side), and "I've Had My Moments" (which was rejected) with producer Lee Gillette in Los Angeles, California.
Thanks for posting. One of my old time favorites. Peggy as sweeet and cute as can be. And such a happy time. You feel you want to be in on this recording with Peggy and her team of players.
I wanna find the full version that sounds like this with no other people talking like a cd soundtrack version ah well. Great song thumbs up for oldies that stay goodies lol.
@LastAyleidKing Yep, I can't tell you the movie it's originally in (that's a great way to get YT to pull one's clip), but if you google Peggy, the song title and "movie" you can find it. There isn't a soundtrack CD version of this, but the movie is around...
Mine wasn't a good one. :(

But if you were born when this was big, then you wouldn't have time to enjoy it in it's prime. So, late 20s or early 30s would do. :)

Agreed, too bad her career took off in the 40's.
Chances are, if you were around back then, you'd be lucky to her her music on a record while you're in the European/Pacific Theatre.
