  • If the so-called democratic Governments (like USA, CANADA, UK) don't listen to deprived fathers and their affected kids' pleas, then they should quit pointing fingers at China, Russia, Cuba, North Korea, Developing Nations . Maybe we "male" need to get permanently sterilized in mass, just to draw inept government's attention..or get violent(protest), joining anti-govt groups. Sorry, for my rubbish talk, but I've no better solution to the ever-growing problem.

  • Men have rights... This is the first I am hearing about this, I thought only women had rights. If you were to listen to feminist and women's groups with the way they go on, you would think that. Disgusting. It is well over due that men should stand up and fight back, feminism should be outlawed and anyone anywhere caught men bashing should be imprisoned. I for one am sick of the garbage women have been passing off on here for examples logic but, is really Misandry garbage.

  • i dont have kids but if some sick bimbo took my kids away from id probably want to die at that point i mean it would be the worse thing that could ever happen to a fit parent

  • all feminists want is to destroy men and remove us from existence

im not a feminist or a masculinist but a humanist

  • Absence makes the heart grow fonder. As with all things, the less exposed to it the more receptive when in contact.

  • @flybreath Mothers are financially-rewarded in the Family Liquidation Courts. Boot the father, keep his income stream.

  • i just had jurasticion over my children to another state the judge favored my ex even though she was out of the home state, she is also a convicted child abuser and no judge or lawyer cares becuase i dont live in the state she took my children to. i am a upstanding citizen with no criminal background and i just lost to a convicted child abuser and she is curently trying to take soul custody , with no reason. why is it like this. no lawyer will use it. even though the law states!! i DONT GET IT

  • @Daniel980v: The reason in the US is probably very similar to that in the UK; root of law, basis of the mother's rights in common law overriding those of the father under contract law.

The lack of action is basically because it's a new Human Rights issue that's opposed by existing and established lobby groups; no one wants to listen, and lots of other people are shouting louder.

  • @JCLeSinge US distinguishes itself from most other nations in that marriage is no longer a contract under no-fault divorce laws. A contract requires mutual agreement for dissolution or breach by at least one party. Divorce requires no reason at all.

  • @Daniel980v The Family Liquidation Courts are out of control. Your children should not be allowed to move without your consent.

Sole custody, though she probably has soul custody as well. Sole custody is a fancy term for de-parenting. You and your extended family have been denied access to your children because the mother decided so. Good luck. You will go bankrupt in Family Court. The judges need to feed their herd with your money.

  • Who can explain why a male predominated role such as a judge around the globe, sides with the mother in the majority of cases? The argument that they were the primary care giver is usually the case due to more often the mother being at home, but when it comes down to separating........does this make us incapable? No, we do it on the weekends and any other time allowed. So why allow this argument into the mix to start with?

  • @13612: Goes to the root of English law and the origins of the Birth Certificate.

Mothers' Rights over the kids are rooted in Common Law, Fathers' Rights only under Contract Law; you're only recognized as the father because mum agrees that you are. When she signs the birth certificate, she recognizes dad's parental rights; when dad signs it, he surrenders those rights to the state.

So in strict course of law, dad has no rights and nothing can be enforced against mum.

  • @13612 "Who can explain why a male predominated role such as a judge around the globe, sides with the mother in the majority of cases?"

Fathers are paired with the largest and usually primary family income source. Judges and their stable of lawyers, mediators, consultants, monitors, psychologists must be fed.

  • I AM A YR OLD MALE FROM NJ. I HAVE BEEN DIVORCED SINCE AUG 2007 AND AM LIVING ON 60.00 A WEEK, MY RELATIONSHIP MY SON AND DAUGHTER ARE DESTROYED. IF NOT FOR A GOOD FRIEND I WOULD BE HOMELESS OR DEAD FROM DEPRESSION. I LOST EVERYTHING I HAD FOR BEING A GOOD FATHER AND ITS THE LAWYERS AND JUDGES WHO ARE IN BED AND THE POLITICIANS WHO LOOK THE OTHER WAY. I LIVE BELOW POVERTY LEVEL AND YET MY X LIVES IN HER BOYFRIENDS HOUSE AND IM STARVING. IS THERE ANY HOPE OUT THERE?

  • @gozzy33 i feel your pain you are not alone

  • I agree with flybreath's statement that the childrens happiness should come first. Being raised in a fatherless home, I can speak from experience that the fatherm to a girl, is far more important than the mother. Or was in my case.

Here in the USA the courts have changed a bit.. and recognize the terrible emotional impact on children. Children have nothing to do with the two adults that born them, nor their problems.. All they know is they love them and want both to be a part of their life..

  • Flybreath you are so right.but would like to add by saying ,UNTIL,parents start thinking about the children first, this sad state of affairs will go on.Only true and dedicated individuals in the Courts, and a complete change of attitudes from parents, will change take place.Unfortunately the system is such that its priorities appears to encourage parents to take this course.Bless all children who are missing their parents !!

  • "Flybreath" If you knew than u would have not made such meaningless comments below.

  • "Flybreath" I don't think u Understand the problem in child custody cases.

  • I don't have the answers and its difficult would it really be good for the child to have two different homes and two sets of parents..........I use to think share the child but upon doing research I am not sure. I think the child should live in one house and the other parents visit or come and take them out or babysit. I know of a couple who's marriage has broken down but the father who works away is a lodger in the house and see his son and the mother has a boyfriend and this works.

  • Is this the same Bob Geldof from the Boomtown Rats?

  • Thank you for posting this. Its a terrible plight

I have started the parental alienation syndrome and child realignment association of australia (PASCRAA)

  • Would be a cool idea for a protest. Every man has to wear a yellow star with "MAN" on his chest. Then someone who refers to himself as a Feminazi Party leader holds a speech about the "final solution" for men.

  • @mikaini

Too bad, mikaini, that the Feminazi Party would be those women like Geldof who support father's 'rights'. In quotations because we all KNOW that the rights he speaks of are EXTRA rights for men. If you don't, you've pretty much been living in a cave. Too bad.

  • Same here in Jamaica.

  • Geldof's story is all to familiar to those of us in Canada who suffer under the type of arrogant legal regieme and climate of feminist hate towards men. Politicians and activist judges are behind this state sponsored discrimination. If the rest of life was this discriminatory, people of colour would not be allowed to eat in the same restaurants as whites. Yet we allow this sort of discrimination against an entire gender.

  • @Retro80man

Oh, SO sorry to disillusion you. I am HAPpy to live in Canada where women are the closest to being equal to men as they have ever been. Where women have the right to control their bodies just as men may ALways do without reprisal.

Rather than raped, stoned and beaten in places like Saudi Arabia, Africa, etc, etc... that YOU and Geldof would like us to return to.

  • @fuuinekusu: I dunno about Retro80, there, but that's the first time I've ever heard anyone equating the idea that fathers have the same basic human right to be parents, and children have a basic human right to know their fathers, with Sharia Law.

So... taking a child from the mother is akin to having her stoned and raped... but taking a child from the father... isn't. According to you.

Sure sounds like discrimination to me.

  • @fuuinekusu No. Retro80man and Geldof want a return to intact families. In America, half of marriages end in divorce. The average duration of marriage is six years. 70% of divorces are filed by women. That means that women are unable to keep their marital commitments.

  • @Retro80man

Discrimination? Is that what you call removing men's 'right' to discriminate against women. It seems you and Geldof have no understanding of this 'little known book' called the... DICTIONARY.

  • @fuuinekusu Men have to be responsible for whom they sleep with, but women do not. This is clear discrimination. A woman who has a child with a man who is irresponsible is most cases is even more irresponsible.

This is not good for the children. This is especially bad for male children because they have no real example of what being a father is about.

At the very least, Retro80man is warning young men of the injustice of the heinous family court. That way they'll "discriminate" as you say.

  • @didles123 "A woman who has a child with a man who is irresponsible is most cases is even more irresponsible."

Agreed. Women have complete control with over a dozen methods of birth control, day-after abortion pills, abortion and adoption. If a child is born, it is only because a woman wants a child to be born.

  • Good work Bob. Keep it up. It is not only a tragedy in the UK but in the US as well. Let us work on bringing our voices TOGETHER!! Does anyone know of a 'central' site that lists many of the groups out there?

  • Great job Bob!!!! We have to keep on fighting,if not for our children then for our children's children..............

  • It's true the part about a man showing feelings and love for his children. Family Court does not want caring, loving Dads in the lives of children.
