I couldnt agree more with Jai Martinkovits, australians of today are lacking the knowledge ( especially young aussies ) of their own constitution. the only way they can understand is by educating yourself

The level of support for the monarchy is irrelevant and the interviewer's attempts to take the story that way are ignorant. Australia's consitutional arrangements are not based on the popularity of any particular monarch. Who cares if people like or dislike the Queen, it is irrelevant.

The real question is - are (young) people content with their current constitutional arrangements... I think the vast majority would be... end story!

something natural instilled in us to support the monarchy? support for the status quo maybe, for fear of the consequences of change, but not support for the monarchy itself (its not the same thing)
