  • me and my mate used to do that on his nova all the time then some little bastard stole it the same way

  • hey there... sorry about that... when i restore my calibra i will make another video explaining how to protect your vauxhall against this using a diode :)

  • This is why you buy American.

  • bad news buddy, this is American! (GM) and cheverolets suffer from the same fate!

  • @deepsnoozer chevrolets are GM buddy

  • @moparmagoo Hey buddy, Opel is too! :)

  • The car is a '90-'93 Opel Corsa (Vauxhall Nova in the UK) and it DOES drive if you force the steering lock (easy!) and give it a bump...

But its less hassle just to pop off the ignition switch, vroom vroom

  • thts an old trick works on most older vauxhall/opels up to 1994 it wont start the car if its got an immobiliser tho, But respect where its due the guys right

  • and just for the record, if you're on youtube looking at how to engage an ignition on a ford van, you're ALREADY wasting your time.

  • can anybody tell wot car this is on?? i can cuz ive got 1 and replaced it with a switch instead

  • this does work with vauxhalls in the u.k

  • even got round my mates aftermarket alarm lol

  • I guess that you are causing some short circuit with ignition :D Hazard lights fuse wouldn't last long with high load on it :D

  • the fucking car doesnt start

    the rpm's dont move.

    SHOULD be titled

"how to turn some amusing fucking lights on while i waste 46 seconds of your life."

  • this is probably on old cars .. code and card recognition on cars now.try that shit with the hazard button cuz all its electronic

  • No robber with sense would do this in an area with people because you've got to take the panel right off of the dashboard - a bit suspicious, eh?

  • no, you~'re wrong, i have the panel off because i was repairing it...

you only have to flip the hazzard button, rip it off with a screw driver and then flip it and voila, the "second position" igñition key is ON! :)

Next step break the steering lock , and bring 12v to the starter or... if it's parked on a hill just engage the 1st or 2nd gear and off it goes :)

  • if your in australia, 50 cent coins are great for getting the starter cranking

  • ahhhhhhhhhhh man what waste time, this is retarded.......well there is 46 seconds of my life i wont get back

  • your life is retarded

  • shows what know you know, ya inbred dumbass

  • It is only retarded if you came here expecting to learn how to steal your neighbors riced out civic. For the people who know how cars WORK this is kind of cool.

  • yeah av dun it before with me mates nova, didnt know it worked with mk3's tho nice one

  • this video should be called how not to start your car using the hazard button

  • you got a point there mate

  • But it's not called 'how to start you car,' it's called 'how to turn the ignition on.'

  • You did shit man. You ripped the whole shit to do a stupidity.

  • actually i was fixing the dashboard then i decided to test this

  • And you showed us what?

  • yep, For educational purposes of course :)

Every burglar knows this so..., no harm done:

Also there's a work arround this problem using a diode, i would assume who watches this and has a Vauxhall Nova, Calibra >93, Astra F (mk2), Vectra (Cavalier) >93 or Omega A, would want to fix this problem

  • every bugular know this.. and now soon to be burgulars know this....

  • the steering wheel is gonna lock though without the key.

  • the car never started tho. plz put some more info

  • been there done tht. its actually quite funny cos thy cant work out how you started it once its been recoverd the only damage is the steerin lock.lol

  • by the time you've done all this you may as well av ripped the plug out and be gone,,,,,,,

  • is this a vauxhall nova I have seen this b4

  • no, this is a Vauxhall (opel) Astra mk3 (Astra F)

But it works on the novas yeah :)

  • does that work for honda integra and other cars or just this one?

  • why? so you can go out and steal one?
