hey there... sorry about that... when i restore my calibra i will make another video explaining how to protect your vauxhall against this using a diode :)
thts an old trick works on most older vauxhall/opels up to 1994 it wont start the car if its got an immobiliser tho, But respect where its due the guys right
It is only retarded if you came here expecting to learn how to steal your neighbors riced out civic. For the people who know how cars WORK this is kind of cool.
Also there's a work arround this problem using a diode, i would assume who watches this and has a Vauxhall Nova, Calibra >93, Astra F (mk2), Vectra (Cavalier) >93 or Omega A, would want to fix this problem
me and my mate used to do that on his nova all the time then some little bastard stole it the same way

@moparmagoo Hey buddy, Opel is too! :)

The car is a '90-'93 Opel Corsa (Vauxhall Nova in the UK) and it DOES drive if you force the steering lock (easy!) and give it a bump...
But its less hassle just to pop off the ignition switch, vroom vroom

and just for the record, if you're on youtube looking at how to engage an ignition on a ford van, you're ALREADY wasting your time.

the fucking car doesnt start
the rpm's dont move.
SHOULD be titled
"how to turn some amusing fucking lights on while i waste 46 seconds of your life."
ipwnyou420 3 years ago 5
this is probably on old cars .. code and card recognition on cars now.try that shit with the hazard button cuz all its electronic
CookieShu1 3 years ago
No robber with sense would do this in an area with people because you've got to take the panel right off of the dashboard - a bit suspicious, eh?
KooKas2oo8 3 years ago
no, you~'re wrong, i have the panel off because i was repairing it...
you only have to flip the hazzard button, rip it off with a screw driver and then flip it and voila, the "second position" igñition key is ON! :)
Next step break the steering lock , and bring 12v to the starter or... if it's parked on a hill just engage the 1st or 2nd gear and off it goes :)

if your in australia, 50 cent coins are great for getting the starter cranking
