HORNBACH DANN IST IMMER WAS ZU TUN,

  • @cat0027

Hab's nie gesehen, obwohl leider immer

sch... sehr viel Werbung kommt :(

  • Also ich find das ist eher comedy als commercial ;)

  • das nenn ich mal innovative werbung! köstlich. wie viel er wohl dafür verlangt hat?

  • Hilarious! hahaha! Blixa here is so so... so... no words! Awesome! hahaha!

  • Haha xD

  • YIPPIE YA YA YIPPIE YIPPIE YAY!!!

  • süß. selbstverarsche und prostitution in einem.

  • I love Blixa!

  • The few words of German I know I have learned from Blixa and Kraftwerk. I have no idea what he says here, but I love the timbre of his voice.

  • He's reading out of a how to fix it catalog "Hornbach".

  • @

    fatalysator unter mir: EINSTÜRZENDE NEUBAUTEN!!!

  • Ein ganz cooler Typ.

    Kannst ihn ja mal googlen.

  • Genial! Blixa ist cool!

  • hör du doch auf, yippieyaey schweinebacke

  • ich finds geil wie er immer genervt jippijaja sagt^^

  • is this an actual existing track that plays at the start of this ad? and if so, what is it called and who is it by?

  • It's '1230te Nacht', I've got it on Strategies III, although I'm pretty certain it's also on another release. It is very good.

  • Yes! 12305(te Nacht) can be found on Tabula Rasa.

  • Was für ein Honk! *rofl

  • wenn man keine ahnung hat, einfach mal: fresse halten.

  • Was zum Teufel ist ein Honk?

    Du Spasst!

    ;-)

  • Umsetzung gut, Grundidee schlecht.

  • But it is not shown on their website (hornbach`s)

  • however autoironic the mode of execution, it does not change the fact that this still is a commercial. from a principle perspective on could probably take it as proof of the smoothness with which anarchist sentiments (especially those of an aesthetic if not aestheticist inclination) translate themselves into an organ of capitalism's self-perpetuation through the very gestures that lay claim to subverting it or at least laying bare its objective violence.

  • I think the gist of what you're saying is that Blixa has become a corporate whore of some kind right?

I would disagree. I think he's advertising a product that is as relevant to Neubauten's music as, say, Fender guitars are to Iron Maiden. For all you know, the band could get the power tools they perform with from this Hornbach company, making Bargeld's decision to advertise for them (and he does so brilliantly well) perfectly logical if you ask me.

  • MWAHAHAHAA!!Geniaal!!

    hab kein wort verstanden

  • Achtung: Very German Stance! Blixa Bargeld (reading) really wants to be Johnny Cash. Yippyyaya Yippy yeay yeah > Ghost Riders in the Sky. The Hornbach Co. (sponsoring manufacturer for home improvements/DIY methods/nails'n' paint) found a man here who can interpret banal things and give them an 'important' uplift. This might only suit the German mentality, although most Germans won't appreciate it because the irony might go over their heads.

  • I thought the add was great myself, if a little off-the-wall.

  • AHH! Great! No coincedence that "Kunst und Quatsch" make a nice alliteration. Reminds me a bit of "Hurz" by Harpe Kerkeling, has the same quality of selling art to those who want to believe it is art (...ok, I hope this is understandable...)

  • It's the monthly Hornbach newspaper insert he is reading from. Its the product descriptions he is turning into a piece of art. As far as I know there were 13 "commercials" that went on air on german VIVA Music channel. The ads won also a LION at the CANNES Advertsing Festival. I found the subtitled versions an will post them soon. Wait for it.

  • Whether it's Blixa or not, Hornbach ads make me insane -- they're singin "Komma ti-yi yippie yippie yeah", not "yippi ya-ya-yippi yippi yeah". It ain't "Von den blauen Bergen", Hornbach people!

  • Yippie aye yippie yippie ka eeehhh!

  • ¿Qué estaba diciendo? that's funny but what did he say?

  • I think he's just reading the instructions of how to put something together... XD

  • ooh ok!, lol, thanks!!

  • Hahaha! Hornbach is a Ikea-ish store, I recognise it. He's reading from a catalog! LOL!

  • Hahaha. I get the feeling this would actually be more hilariously ridiculous if I knew what he was saying.

  • Yeah!!

I'm laughing my head of tough I've no idea what his raving on about..
