I am a darksider for the most part but I have played this way when a hot shooter comes along and done all right with it. The hits on the come out rolls are nice cause you can lay odds on any of the don'ts you may have up there and on the next come out when those 7's start to come up,It's a nice little hit.

hey guy, putting a bet on both the lines does not reduce house edge in any way -- with $5 bet you lose $5/$360 = 1.38888....% which is exactly the average between the well known dont 1.36363...% and pass 1.4141...% as it obviously should be! what you do is make so you have 0 chance of ever having a profit on the line bets and exactly the same overall loss to the house! you cannot make a logical choice about where to put odds bet -- no odds bet (pass or dont) is any more valuable than another.

Ouch! Tested this out and got hit hard on those don't pass bets. It hurts like heck to lose those larger chunks of money on the don't side, a real bankroll killer. It does seem rather pointless playing both sides, especially considering the other bets you can couple with do/pass that amp up the winnings in the middle.

Beware of any betting system. Especially when a system wants you to place bets based on how the table "feels". This is nuts. Only a moron would follow something like this. You want a good betting system - place the max odds on your pass line or do not pass line bets. Done. There is less than half a percent house odds. (0.38% and 0.28% respectfully.) Some casino's odds bets have even larger maximums than 3x-4x-5x - this will increase your odds even more!

it's a good bet to play both...I use it when playing at the casino, but check the casino rules before investing. you can also loose your PL bet on a "2"...at my casino anyway...don't know if it is the rule in other casino.

What you just referred to is what's called the gambler's fallacy. Please look it up. Each roll is INDEPENDENT of the previous rolls and the fact that a 12 hasn't been hit for a while DOES NOT give it a higher probability of coming up next. Your idea to LOAD up on a number if it hasn't been hit for a while is based on a false premise that previous rolls affect future rolls. They do not...

The house doesn't mind as they still have a little advantage. If the 12 comes up on the come out roll you will lose your pass line but push with your Don't Pass. This will happen once in 36 rolls.

Well, this is as useless to winning as any other system, but it looks like if you just bet pass/don't pass at the same time then take or lay full odds you eliminate the house edge completely. You don't gain an advantage but it becomes like betting at 1:1 odds on a coin flip.

Since I posted before I was at Wizard of Odds that you are better off with the full loss than hedging on pass/don't pass and taking the loss you describe. He says the loss on the 12 offsets the hedge.

By having a system of bets I'm not just blindly throwing money on the table randomly with no clue what the better bets on the table are and how I can use them to minimize my losses. You eliminate the number of ways you can lose to ONE # that can only be rolled ONE way...sounds pretty damn logical to me, and even then you only lose half of your bet. You almost completely eliminate the risk on the come out roll. Then once the point is established you can decide if you want to go with the roller or the house. What about the 5 and 9? You can bet em if you want. Sometimes I do sometimes I don't. For me it depends on how much money I have and whether I'm willing to take the extra risk. The point of the idea in this video is to bet with the best odds you can get without just throwing your money around the table on sucker bets.

There is no way to tell if a table is negative (as I mentioned in a response to a different post on here). MOST gamblers are superstitious and believe in streaks. I don't.

I never mentioned once above about telling if the table is negative. Sometimes "streaks" occur and you get a hot roller, but that is just part of the game of chance...you also hit the same "streaks" of losing. I maximize my bets once I'm playing with the casinos money and that is how you make money, use your winnings to maximize your wins and minimize your loss by hedging your bets with offsetting bets. The idea that is presented here is simply a way to minimize your loss before a good roller
