I called samsung with what I thought was a capacitor problem and they said no problem we will send someone to look at it free of charge and change the capacitors, because so many people are now having the same problem with a cheap capacitor they used during manufacturing they are doing it free of charge! its always worth a call !
I got the same TV, had it now for 9 months and its always on, games, dvds its great. Have not had any problems, yet. Thats why you get extended warranty, plus there is that thing called accidental damage on your home insurance. Either way its all sweet. Samsungs rock, all my friends have them and no problems.

I have this same TV and its a beauty...I never messed around with the factory setings... its almost 2 yrs old and no problems.. I have a 26" Toshiba in my bedroom and sometimes that tv screen goes black then it slowly turns white... I turn it off then back on to a popping sound and its back to normal.. Ever manufacturer has some bad batches so it does'nt mean all Samsung tvs are bad... some Sony tvs do this same thing...
Samsung screwed TENS OF THOUSANDS if not more of their customers with these JUNK tvs. Buying samsung is like playing russian roulette that you won't be screwed.

my samsung 55A950 started doing this a few days ago, mostly after playing video games, but I only need to turn it off and on again and its back to normal.
2) Go into engineer service menu by pressing quickly (with in two seconds) on your remote control 'Info' then 'Menu' then 'Mute' then 'Power' button
3) You will get the same screen as now.
4) Press the enter ONCE only (Return button in the middle of the circle on the remote) 5) Press down arrow SIX times 6) Press left arrow once 7) Press enter 8) Press Power 9) Press power TV will come on. 10) You may have to do this several times.
to fix this.. you press info menu mute and on button in quick succession.. and then you press enter, down, down, down, down, down, down, left, then turn the tv off. this should work. had the same problem but fixed it! :).

i got a 32'. my tv has been fine allday i turned it on earlier and there was no pic. waited 5 min and it worked. played my ps3 for about 2 hours left for a hour came back and i get a picture and the sound works but the picture keeps flashing non stop. reset the pic that did nothing. turned the backlight down and it didnt flash as much...... only have had it for 2 thats rite 2 days. the pic is amazing however butt then this occured

there are numerous class action lawsuits being prepared against Samsung as we speak. Though that will pad their lawyer's coffers the best revenge is to no longer buy Samsung products period and get the word out. Seriously samsung is one of the best tv's out there. Sony is a very close 2nd don't be discuraged to get one of these tv's. All LCD tv's will run into this problem. Only reason it's common for samsung is simply because a lot of people have one. So your bound to have some people with faulty ones. Not all samsungs break don't believe the hype!!!!

@29razorbock29, samsung has one of the best panels around for tv's.. and plus this error usually happens when people enter factory settings and mess around with tv settings. this error could have happened by changing the tv from amber to ruby, or even armani.. or it may have been another setting which was changed.
If you have a day or two COUNT the number of complaints samsung has on the consumer affairs site and see that samsung has more than"9,000" more complaints than any other make tv.

I don't see why people would have a reason to badmouth Samsung if they experienced a problem with their TV.
That being said, Samsung most likely puts out more working TVs than defects. Now I'm really uncertain what brand to purchase as they all seem to have people complaining.

My 46 inch lcd 14 months old and out of warranty started clicking on and off and now will not turn on. Out of warranty and I'm screwed. For the money I spent on this tv it should last more than 14 months.
There are thousands of other samsung customers screwed with the same problem. Put samsung tv clicking into a google search and read the truth about samsung's junk tvs and the cheap parts they use that burn out just after the warranty expires.

whats wrong with it? I have the exact same tv and it does the exact same thing. it happens after I trun in on for like 3 minutes. I turn if off for like 2 minutes then turn it back on and it works good for a long time. How do you fix it?

I have this same TV and its a beauty...I never messed around with the factory setings... its almost 2 yrs old and no problems.. I have a 26" Toshiba in my bedroom and sometimes that tv screen goes black then it slowly turns white... I turn it off then back on to a popping sound and its back to normal.. Ever manufacturer has some bad batches so it does'nt mean all Samsung tvs are bad... some Sony tvs do this same thing...

@bever49 You Must be a DUMB ASS most of the electronics in my home is Samsung I have no problems its unfortunate for thos that do have problems why you hating on me.. because my stuff works? and the problem in this video could be due to a bad HDMI cable. I had a similar problem due to a bad cable from by blu ray player

my samsung 55A950 started doing this a few days ago, mostly after playing video games, but I only need to turn it off and on again and its back to normal.

Had the same problem:
1) Put TV in standby.
2) Go into engineer service menu by pressing quickly (with in two seconds) on your remote control 'Info' then 'Menu' then 'Mute' then 'Power' button
3) You will get the same screen as now.
4) Press the enter ONCE only (Return button in the middle of the circle on the remote) 5) Press down arrow SIX times 6) Press left arrow once 7) Press enter 8) Press Power 9) Press power TV will come on. 10) You may have to do this several times.

to fix this.. you press info menu mute and on button in quick succession.. and then you press enter, down, down, down, down, down, down, left, then turn the tv off. this should work. had the same problem but fixed it! :).

i got a 32'. my tv has been fine allday i turned it on earlier and there was no pic. waited 5 min and it worked. played my ps3 for about 2 hours left for a hour came back and i get a picture and the sound works but the picture keeps flashing non stop. reset the pic that did nothing. turned the backlight down and it didnt flash as much...... only have had it for 2 thats rite 2 days. the pic is amazing however butt then this occured

I've heard of several class action lawsuits that are being brought against them by several law firms and heard rumors that the Atttorney Generals in several states is investigating them. After the horrible experience with their TVs (2 years and blown ; paid $1600 and they won't offer to fix it) I'll never buy Samsung again. The best revenge would be for all consumers not to buy Samsung and tell as many people as they can

there are numerous class action lawsuits being prepared against Samsung as we speak. Though that will pad their lawyer's coffers the best revenge is to no longer buy Samsung products period and get the word out. I have had such a bad experience with them that it would not bother me at all if their whole company went bankrupt. One can only hope.

Seriously samsung is one of the best tv's out there. Sony is a very close 2nd don't be discuraged to get one of these tv's. All LCD tv's will run into this problem. Only reason it's common for samsung is simply because a lot of people have one. So your bound to have some people with faulty ones. Not all samsungs break don't believe the hype!!!!

Even if you cut samsungs complaints in half they still have 4,000 complaints more than any other make tv.

If we add all the complaints for all the other make tvs together samsung will still have more complaints.

@29razorbock29, samsung has one of the best panels around for tv's.. and plus this error usually happens when people enter factory settings and mess around with tv settings. this error could have happened by changing the tv from amber to ruby, or even armani.. or it may have been another setting which was changed.

I don't see why people would have a reason to badmouth Samsung if they experienced a problem with their TV.
That being said, Samsung most likely puts out more working TVs than defects. Now I'm really uncertain what brand to purchase as they all seem to have people complaining.

My 46 inch lcd 14 months old and out of warranty started clicking on and off and now will not turn on. Out of warranty and I'm screwed. For the money I spent on this tv it should last more than 14 months.
There are thousands of other samsung customers screwed with the same problem. Put samsung tv clicking into a google search and read the truth about samsung's junk tvs and the cheap parts they use that burn out just after the warranty expires.
