Haunting and poignant to think this was 70 years ago, specially that moment where Vivien walks out into the sun while putting on her gloves. This is so beautiful! I love the soundtrack too. You never cease to amaze me with your videos. Would you happen to have the lost scenes from the movie specially the ending?
Thanks for your kind comment. Yes, I also love the moment where Vivien walks out putting on her gloves. It's so candid. No sorry, I don't have the lost scenes from the movie, which may be more stored somewhere, thant really lost, don't you think so. Well, I hope it is that way, and that someday they will be made public...
There was a first post of this video. But of such poor quality that I decided to post it again. All the comments were lost. That's why - as an explanation - I entitled it Revisited "2".
Brilliant! I have more footage not shown here, but this is Lenghtier! Where can we see the whole thing, besides going to the museum in Iowa where they show the whole thing?
Well honestly Javi, I can't be of any help. Perhaps someone in the US. I live in France and haven't the slightest idea how to get more. This was shown on TV in 1999 and given to me by a movie buff, great fan of GWTW. I'm learning several things from you post. Didn't know it was shown in a museum. But, yes I remember now the name of Mister Hall... Can you post the material that isn't here ?
I hope I don't run out of space: I'll have someone post it for me. Howard Hall, wealthy businessman, was visiting California and went to the set in Pasadena. He and his wife knew the 'Stand-In' for Olivia De Havilland (you can see the Stand-in in one shot with Leslie Howard's Stand-in, while they set the lighting. Then later you do see the actual actors.
BEAUTIFUL! I saw (and recorded) about 20 seconds in 1999- ALL they showed in the News Channels when this was discovered. Thanks for showing more!! I have some more that isn't here! But this is MORE and lengthier!
The whole thing is at the Brucemore MUSEUM in Iowa! Taken by a wealthy Businessman in Pasadena, CA - the old Busch Gardens grounds, next to the Rose Bowl. Mr. Howard Hall stumbled onto the set of the Barbecue (exterior shots) sequence at Twelve Oaks. Javi Mulero

Quick question: At 0:46, we see Vivien Leigh sitting down, smoking. Is that Clark Gable standing right in front of her?
dudejuststop 1 year ago
@dudejuststop Yes, that was Clark Gable smoking there... You can see later the assistant light his cigarette...
