Throttle back doesn't help. It has happened to me before. The lack of resistance plus the plane falling through the air instead of pulling it revs the engine all the way up. Nothing you can do but stand back and watch your plane become a lawn dart.

That looks like a Tower 40 Trainer that I fly. I put on 10 rubber bands unless I am doing aerobatics, when I put on 2 extras. How many rubber bands did you have on MITVID?

probly going down than pulling up put to much stress on wings *especially if rubber bands were worn

This Plane did not use rubber bands. It had a bolt on wing. I had crashed it a tree about a month earler and rebuilt it. This was the the third tim i took it out after the rebuild. I did not use epoxy at the bolt aera. It broke off. I will post pics of the damage....MITVID
