To mango1218 from nola305: First let me say i'm from New Orleans and i love my N.O. culture. I've marched in secondline parades since i was very young ( I'm MUCH older now). Just because i'm from N.O. doesn't mean i can't have an objective ear. To me, both of these bands sounds too "collegiate" for me ,being exposed to "street" secondline music so long but i felt FAMU was closer to Rebirth's version of "Do whatcha' wanna". i gave FAMU only a SLIGHT edge, only SLIGHT !
When will FAMU play something original of their own and see if it'll be copied by bands all over the nation like New Orleans music is. They're going to wear this song out until another hot New Orleans second line song comes along !

Lol but now everyone is so accustomed to FAMU playing it it seems like it was theres. Even the sheet music at my school says Florida A&M University not Southern University. + I think it fits FAMU better.
