um, how is this complete fiction? Joesph Conrad saw this exact world when he was traveling & he was an unbiased observer. I agree it's not a good influence on movie audiences though.

It's one of my favorite films starring Sophia Loren but it's also based mostly on fiction. I would not call it racist but it definitely is biased.
