  • Thank you for sharing these divine instruments with the world Greg. Sending positive vibes your way for the installation in Victoria. One day I hope to have one on my property that I can sit in and share with clients. Sound is such an incredible force for healing...

  • Simply put...stunning. There is so much trash being aired these days that is 'fenced' as art and music. These instruments embody skilled craftsmanship, design and sound produced by the force of nature in tones and frequencies that as living beings we could use more exposure to. With luck people will 'get' just how advantageous it is to actually sit and listen to these. A massive shift away from the jarring, stressed and grossly repetative, thump, thump, thump of the music written today.

  • Good to see that in this day and age there is someone who focuses on quality, art and beauty and not just the quick buck. These wind harps are a thing of beauty and inspire wonder and contemplation in the listener. Thanks Greg Joly, I wish that these harmonic wind harps become more common place in public gardens and spaces. Man cannot live on bread and water alone. Anthony (Australia)

  • This would be spectacular to have in Victoria!

  • The Aeolian harp project embodies all the elements of our magical island. We live at the meeting place where the winds of the Salish Sea and Pacific Ocean co-mingle with garry oak meadow grasslands and the ancient spirits of indigenous peoples. I see this project as an art form that animates earth and air, and rekindles human dreams and unseen worlds.

  • Vancouver has a steam clock as an archetypal icon; why shouldn't Victoria have this as it's own type of "symbol"? Certainly, it would fit in with the more genteel, less bustling England-like feel of the city, and would be an additional attraction to tourists, I would say.

  • Beautiful, love natural sounds. I wonder how large they might be built, how far the sound carries...and with a very strong wind would they be louder? I'm thinking of people who live near them and if they ever find the sound disturbing.

  • Both the sounds and the fact that wind harps are activated by non-human forces has an enduring appeal. My affinity for these sounds comes from their similarity to those I make on my self-built instrument, the Springboard, an instrument made from coil springs played with a cello bow.

  • I am a massage therapist, and I use this CD for my clients. Everyone loves this!!!

  • Sculpture that sings! What better way to honour the wind.

  • This is amazing! How wonderful it would be to have one of these in Victoria.

  • In a world that is bombarded with noise.. the soothing and peaceful sound of this harp offers respite from the sound storm and will enhance the uniqueness of Victoria. I know I would travel there to hear it and tell lots of people about it. The world needs more soothing sounds.

  • Wonderful - I wish we could have one of these here in the Scottish hills. They look stunning, and the sound is transporting, ethereal, aeolian. The true sonification of air.

  • Beautiful, haunting and mesmerizing. Thank you...

  • We have a wind harp installed at the harbor in Chula Vista, which is the next city south of San Diego. It's a work of exquisite public art and the music created by the sea breezes is breath-takingly beautiful. It's the highlight of everyone's stroll along the boardwalk. I believe that every city should have one!!

  • This is very exciting..and I hope the vision of a permanent wind harp by the sea comes to fruition. This would be such a wonderful draw for both tourists and locals....Perfect!

  • Cool Greg. You harps are beautiful and the thought of being able to find one to listen to, out in public, whenever I wanted to, (or even once in a while -- after all, I don't know in what context it would be installed) makes me happy. Good luck,

    -Jay
