The most under estimated singer of The Dubliners, but without no doubt the most brilliant man on the tenor banjo. Like him singing "A comival genius" and especially "South Australia"
This song was my party piece for years, everyone got a great kick out of it.I got to know it from the album "Hometown"(loooong time back). My name is Barney, but i aint no Barney McKenna.

Wholly shite. Barney McKenna should have sung a few more during the early years! Very mighty. Very Barney. I love it.

where it's came from, is it on cd this version.
jeroendevries 4 years ago
It's on a cd, but that one is only available at their concerts. It's in a box of 4 cd's and a dvd.
Also it's available on their rare lp 'Hometown'.

@dubliner85 Next year when they come The Netherlands again I will buy the box of 4 cd's.
I saw it two weeks ago when I was at the concert of them for the first time. But it won't be the last time.
