Guys, before I begin my nitpicking, let me just say... great video, great arrangement, and great harmonies. Now the nitpicking. Why in the world did you cut out the 2 verses and 2 choruses? Was there a time limit for the house? Next, it's not called "THE Big Pink", but the house is simply (and famously) known as "Big Pink". Finally, "Big Pink" is not located in Woodstock, but in nearby West Saugerties, NY. Next comes the lyric bastardizations in the next post.
It's not "pulled in FROM Nazareth", it's "pulled inTO Nazareth". It's not "he just grinned & shook HIS HEAD", it's "shook MY HAND". Last verse, it's not "to GO back to Miss fanny", it's "to GET back". And it's not "who sent me THERE with her regards", it's "who sent me HERE". Guys again, a great arrangement with great harmonies. But you don't improvise with pure, unadulterated GREATNESS. Especially not the historic place where the greatness was created. And don't add a"The" to the name!!
Very nice. I like the added chorus verse at the end as well. When were you guys up there to record this? And did you get to check out the inside of the house?
I'm a HUGE Band fan but I am impressed; with your sound and especially that you got anywhere close to Big Pink to record. They say it is hard to get there...owners keep people out because they are overrun with fans and tourists. So Tally Ho...Good Job!
Ah! The disadvantages of life. It is just not possible to stop time and rewind and say, "Ok on the and and we came in a beat early, so let's try this again and this time lets hold off and come in just one beat later, Ok. Now one and two and..."
This is really nice, but they make the same mistake that so many bands do. They come in a beat early on the "and, and, and you put the load right on me." If you listen to the album, that entrance is delayed until beat 2, and it's much more effective, IMO.
This is the real deal here gang from the Band, filmed pre Woodstock before Garth and Robbie..Rare Footage and its not a Cover, Enjoy..
