For the Usc game, rememeber OSU had a freshmen RB and a Freshmen QB playing that game. Kinda hard to when a game against really good Usc team that year. I want to say though that "The" Ohio State University put "The" in front of its name to separate it fromOhioUniversity in 1878.Since OU is also a state school they put the"THE"in front to market it has the bigger and more advanced college in the state. No I watched all of the Buckeyes games that year. Troy Smith looked like Superman in all of the regular season games. He looked like complete $hit in this game, not himself AT ALL!! First of all it was OSU both times in the National Championship, against 2 different SEC teams, not the same one, So we have the more consistently great team, even if your conferance is better. The BigTen has a few ranked teams this year, so we're doing better. This game, we were forced to play without our top receiver(not to make an excuse) so that hurt us quite a bit. LSU we just got beat, but that same year, Florida, another SEC team, lost to Michigan, who we had easily whooped.

Oklahoma lost 2 straight national championship games just a few years ago like my Buckeyes have the last 2 years and Oklahoma was not criticized NEARLY as much as my Buckeyes have been. Thats right-Oklahoma is 0-4 in their last 4 BCS games (the 2 consecutive NC game losses, Boise State loss, & West Virginia last year). There is a real bias against Ohio State.

I'm a huge Ohio State fan. I admit we got owned in that game, it's obvious and anybody who says otherwise is still upset over that fact. Florida outexecuted, outcoached, and most importantly outhustled and outprepared us. Our "invincibility" attitude got to us and I think other colleges will take note. Let's hope we use this attitude and game as motivation for the LSU game..

That may be so, however once he lost his angle and it was a pure footrace, Ginn was a good 3-4 strides faster. Florida dominated the game, but it wasnt because of speed. The only speed mismatch they had was at DE. Other than that, they just executed near perfectly, and OSU executely as bad as any team I have ever seen in my life.
Exactly, if Ginn was in the WHOLE game, it surely would've been different. Less blitzing because of double coverage on Ginn, all the plays based off of Gin, ect ect.
I dont know. Its hard to say how much of an impact Ginn would have had. Ginn had never missed a game before (I dont think), so we really have nothing to base it off of. I dont think it would have mattered though. Florida was just the better team. I'm over that game, and I'm hoping we at least show up this year. Another loss like that would be unacceptable.
Yeah, he never missed a game (had to miss the most important one of his life in college) but who knows. He's already returned a few in the NFL. I hope we show up this year though. OSU was utterly dominated on both sides of the ball. Big 11 has 4 really good teams and the rest are blah. Florida would of won that game 8 out of 10 times. T. Smith was sacked 6 times and had 5 completions. Definitely not the sign of a better team or a Heisman Winner.
Good teams find a way to win. That is all I have to say. If you remember correctly, OSU had a LOT of special things happen to them the season they beat UM for the National Title. As for being fixed, I say hell no. Remember, speed kills.

@Slatrelle oh ya, can't say much about the two titles they lost expect in the Lsu game Ohio State acually had more total yards then Lsu just too many mistakes by OSU. For the Usc game, rememeber OSU had a freshmen RB and a Freshmen QB playing that game. Kinda hard to when a game against really good Usc team that year. I would like to add thats the match up I wanted to see that year, Usc vs Florida for the chamionship instead of Oklahoma.

@OSUjunki Ohio State doesn't play a game for 60 some days then plays LSU in the national title at LSU. Ohio State was already IN, that means they should of had home field advantage. As soon as they knew Ohio State and the tigers were playing they should of changed to a nuetral field. I'm an OSU fan, but know that they play in a weak Big Ten conference at this time in college football. I want to say though that "The" Ohio State University put "The" in front of its name to separate it fromOhioUniversity in 1878.Since OU is also a state school they put the"THE"in front to market it has the bigger and more advanced college in the state. It is the alums playing in NFL and current students abusing its meaning that has degraded its original purpose. Doesn't mean OSU is superior.

USC always embarrasses Big 10 teams, that's nothing new. Michigan was just another overrated team in a bad conference. Besides, UT doesn't even need to be at the top of their game to beat OSU. A lackluster effort would suffice.

Troy Smith is a poor man's Vince Young. What a travesty that he won the award a year after VY was shunned. By far the worst, most undeserving Heisman Trophy winner Ever. No I watched all of the Buckeyes games that year. Troy Smith looked like Superman in all of the regular season games. He looked like complete $hit in this game, not himself AT ALL!! Of course, a nonexistent offensive line in this game didnt help at all. But if he wouldve played in this game like he had played all year before this, you wouldnt be saying that. I wish now that he DID NOT win the Heisman that year because I think he couldve focused his energy on this game & played much better.

First of all it was OSU both times in the National Championship, against 2 different SEC teams, not the same one, So we have the more consistently great team, even if your conferance is better. The BigTen has a few ranked teams this year, so we're doing better. This game, we were forced to play without our top receiver(not to make an excuse) so that hurt us quite a bit. LSU we just got beat, but that same year, Florida, another SEC team, lost to Michigan, who we had easily whooped.

This amazes me. Oklahoma lost 2 straight national championship games just a few years ago like my Buckeyes have the last 2 years and Oklahoma was not criticized NEARLY as much as my Buckeyes have been. Its almost cruel the way the Buckeyes have been criticized. And not only that-the Sooners have lost 4 straight BCS games. Thats right-Oklahoma is 0-4 in their last 4 BCS games (the 2 consecutive NC game losses, Boise State loss, & West Virginia last year). There is a real bias against Ohio State.

I'm a huge Ohio State fan. I admit we got owned in that game, it's obvious and anybody who says otherwise is still upset over that fact. Florida outexecuted, outcoached, and most importantly outhustled and outprepared us. Our "invincibility" attitude got to us and I think other colleges will take note. Let's hope we use this attitude and game as motivation for the LSU game..

That may be so, however once he lost his angle and it was a pure footrace, Ginn was a good 3-4 strides faster. Florida dominated the game, but it wasnt because of speed. The only speed mismatch they had was at DE. Other than that, they just executed near perfectly, and OSU executely as bad as any team I have ever seen in my life.

I dont know. Its hard to say how much of an impact Ginn would have had. Ginn had never missed a game before (I dont think), so we really have nothing to base it off of. I dont think it would have mattered though. Florida was just the better team. I'm over that game, and I'm hoping we at least show up this year. Another loss like that would be unacceptable.

i am ok of ohio state losing but the only thing that pssing me off is that these florida fans are saying that sec is way better and ohio state was overrated noooo ohio state was way better they just had a bad game theree a better team by far then florida

A better team? You are completely NUTS. Maybe, if your offense scored more than 1 touchdown, you could say that is was a bad game. That was one step shy of the scene in Deliverance. OSU was utterly dominated on both sides of the ball. Big 11 has 4 really good teams and the rest are blah. Florida would of won that game 8 out of 10 times. T. Smith was sacked 6 times and had 5 completions. Definitely not the sign of a better team or a Heisman Winner.

lol they almost lost to shitty team and came back from behind inthe fourth quarter more than 4 times.
it was just a good game on their side. who knows if it was fixed or not, everyone picked ohio state, u think vegas would let happen?

Good teams find a way to win. That is all I have to say. If you remember correctly, OSU had a LOT of special things happen to them the season they beat UM for the National Title. As for being fixed, I say hell no. Remember, speed kills.

Is 42 days before the game against Miami the same thing as 51 days for this game? 42 doesnt equal 51. The 51 day layover was only part of it. Overconfidence, lack of motivation-other factors. I mean the Buckeyes even walked onto the field lazily to start the game, which Ive never ever seen happen before. Troy Smith may have also gotten TOO caught up in winning the Heisman. Who fucking knows. I was about to vomit watching the game after the middle of the 2nd quarter so I quit watching it.

And don't forget Ted Ginn being injured. I think that was the biggest thing that hurt OSU that night, and the SEC fans know it. So you SEC fans quit your yappin. You just happened to be on your A game when OSU wasn't. That is all. OSU was still the better team.

But hey Florida had the same problem in 1996 when they got embarrassed 62-24 in the national championship game by Nebraska. Florida was favored to win that game. So they should know what Ohio State fans feel like.

This game was all wrong for OSU, but hey southerners have to get lucky too. I'd say make this an annual game, then OSU can knock the 30 teeth the Florida team has combined out regularly.

did you even see this game? OSU got creamed on offense and defense. Neither Oline nor Dline could not push at all, at the skill positions the Florida speed was too much. If they played ten times Florida would win 10 times. If they played 100 times Florida would win 100 times.
