  • if you do not want to share information with anyone

    do not post videos...

is useless if you do not give more information

but if you already have a video. answers questions the good thing about the web is that we find people

who wants to help the others.

  • how much is it???

  • DIY er's rejoice, will all be flying soon.

  • does it output raw sensor data or is it filtered? if so, can it be parametrized and ttl connected? spi, uart, etc??

  • @rodstartube He said the computations are all done on the MSP microcontroller and pushed out over bluetooth. I mean... he _said_ these things.

  • I have an car accident and have problems with dizzinessa and can't stand up without help.Being able to track human body kinematics allows clinicians to classify and analyze a stroke patients progress which aid in the rehabilitation program. Monitoring and capturing real time body motion further permits corrective measures to be implemented for more effective rehabilitation results. But with your application we are not far to a fantastic answer on this science

  • amazing

  • where can i buy it

  • Shake it! That's the real test.

  • Comment removed

  • Nice try. Keep it up check out esteembpo + com for social media marketing. dasd

  • Well, i will withdraw my last comment. At the first time I haven't listened the audio. You say that there are three axis gyros and accelerometers so my comment does not apply. Besides, it is impressive the level of miniaturization you arrived at with this. One question: which is the range of the radio?

  • It uses 100m bluetooth, but you can imagine putting any radio you want.

  • Thanks for the feedback!

for UAV's is needed far more than that, so one needs effectively to consider another radio.

  • Yes I figured thats what you'd want it for. So you are correct, you would need another radio, but that is pretty trivial to interface with one of these. BTW, they work way much better and faster now.

  • 3 accelerometers and 3 gyrorates are standard technology. Gyrorates are cumbersome and you need a lot of money to get acceptable precision. I guess there's something different in this. Maybe an odd number of 3 axis accelerometers. I'm only guessing here.

  • Awesome! How did you guys get 3 roll gyros on a single chip? Can you reveal your secrets?

  • From DIYDrones: "Further, it uses some pre-production parts from a company I cannot name (we signed a NDA)"

Sadly I don't think you will be seeing it on the market anytime soon.

  • it would be good for video game and movie productions, or even military mission tracking. By making the receiving representations in different shapes it could (for example) track how somebody's body is moving, and whether or not say somebody jerked backward after getting shot, or what position their body is in so rescue services can find them more easily... could also market it to porn in the same way as light-tracking suits. Making them acknowledge other similar chips would be impressive.

  • Hmm i have same function in my playstation 3, 6 axis hand control...what is new or cool about this??

  • It also has a magnetometer and it's doing the computation on-board.

  • The PS3 doesn't really have 6 axis sensors; they have 3 accelerometers and a single

Piezoelectric roll gyroscope for a total of 4 true degrees of freedom.

  • u people sound smart. i wish i was smart like u

  • i didn't see me posted, like i said, one board for each independent body part, could be expensive but the resolution would be awsome..,STAR TREK HAS ARRIVED!!! TALK ABOUT INTERFACE, WOW !

  • after reading some of these comments, you boys don't have a clue. we're talking halodeck stuff right here folks, straight up imbedded game controller, WII's got nothing on this. SIGN ME UP !!

  • i got to get one ! "HOW MUCH" and where!

  • wow!

  • Interesting techno-trinket. Next!

  • Notice it's not an Intel CPU because Intel doesn't have anything even close after selling ARM...

  • actually yes you would need both. with a 3 axis gyroscope you can only tell which way the thing is pointing, ie its orientation. you still need accelerometers if you wish the device to sence movement other than a rotation about its axes. ie in a strait line. get a fucking clue before you open your yap.

  • an accelerometer measures linear inertal forces. and youre right, the gyro shows you what way youre pointing. so why would you need more than one? they use 3 axis to hold the mass in the cage but only provide x & y axis info. thats what accelerometers are for. I learned about inertial nav systems in the Navy. whered you learn from? Sesame Street?

  • This could have amazing applications in tele-robotics, VR avatars, and tele-surgery.

It's a great time to be alive :D

  • Sorry, the only thing I thought this would be cool to use with was in my Roomba!! :)

  • this is great. I can see tons of uses for this. Particularly in transport.

  • Where can I get such a thing?

  • Comment removed

  • and the point of this is?...

  • the point is : YOU DONT GET IT !

  • Great gadget. It is common sense that the best Inertial navigation system would require 3-axis magnetometer, 3-axis accelerometer, 3-axis gyroscope. But he didn't mention what are their angular speed limit(e.g. 540'/sec).

I hope this masterpiece will be embedded into a watch, for ADVENTURE.

This chip is the thinnest that I have ever seen. Previously, they are cubic, not like this which is thin rectangular.

  • What are the applications? Can it display more then the box or is this only for the use of our military?

  • Hmm I got 4 of these in my wii

  • This chip looks cute and nifty, I bet the folks living in the mountans of Afghanistan will see this delivered to their neighborhood in the nose of a smart bomb soon.

  • electonic discoveries are endless!

  • que hace mierda esa? i don't understand anything....

  • i fking did not understand a word

  • That, is bad ass!

  • i wish i was as smart as these poeple

  • This video is not smart. It is the same as saying "Daddy bought me a new three-wheel bicycle!" They just show it, they don't tell anything.

  • Why would they?

  • Because otherwise they harbor information.

  • You know they're a buisness right?

  • Yes and it wrong. Case is proved.

  • I wish I could see and hear them talk as they design these things. I wouldn't understand much but just to see and hear intelligent humans for a change.

  • looks really good and responsive

  • how can u do that :O???

  • The applications for this thing are endless :O

  • there are no tags in this video @-@

  • mind = blown

  • I would like to know the production process in practice, detail and from the basic mining through the electronic assembly

  • wiimote needs a camera with the wiimote, but this does not.

  • Comment removed

  • wow, impressive, nice job

  • Dude, macro mode and minimal focus distances! Read the manual that came with your camera.

    Neat project, though.

  • Great work using MatrixNav. Thats a sweet board you got there

  • cool

  • wii motion plus says wasup

  • Can't wait to see this on Wii!

  • how many measurements per second can it make? what is the estimated precision? how many bits does the ADC use?

  • When can I buy one, and for what price?

  • I have absolutely no clue what he just said or what this could be used for, but it's awesome.

  • The InertiaDot IMU is just about the cleverest piece of technoglogy ever devised!

  • I have a 3 axis cat I'd like to put this on.

  • poor kitty :<

  • I have a 4 axis hedgehog o.0
