What an utter fiasco, Would someone please explain to the Egyptians that they're supposed to save the passengers not kill them. They turned out to be worse than the hijackers. The United States had every right to be involved in that rescue effort as there were American citizens aboard that aircraft.
Geez, 1985 was a scary year to travel. I can understand American airliners to be targetted but why EgyptAir? What a diplomatic fiasco this must have caused.
the egypiton commandoes just attacked the plane with out telling anyone,in fact they were arrested by the maltese police after they did that mess, and for all you who think maltese are arabic ,well here it is they are not in fact we are nothing like arabic, totally opposite, and yes they were forced to send them back
Maltease allowen their flight landing, once they are out the Maltease shot them from everywhere,, then they took thier weapons, and becouse of the un-logic act they did against Egyptians, they sent them all back with thier weapons..
british, french, and US commandos were ready to come to do the job themselves-i doubt that a single hostage would have died if the job was done by well-trained troops from france or uk-but no, our arab-loving government, who loved to associate the maltese with arabs rather than europeans, our true kin, brought the egyptians instead-and they got what they wanted
my friend was the last survivor off the plane, the egypt commandos were not trained for this, they were given the green light to storm the plane because it was an egyptian airliner, no other reason. They didn't have a clue what to do. US or BrITISH DELTA FORCE was the best alternative. I am glad my friend survivied to testify and put the only terrorist away for life. He's in Levenworth in the USA.
I am speaking about Larnaka Accdent, that was during Sadat much earlier than 1981, you know also such type of ( Show-off ) operations is not Mubarak Type, its more Sadat..
So he mentions that the Egyptian commandoes were arrested, but what happened to them after? where the Maltese forced to leave them to go back to Egypt?
It was a bloody stupid decision by the Egyptian commandos! Utter stupidity to bomb the plane and further more to shoot the hijackers.

I hate terrorists. I don't care what nationality they are. They're all the same.
