@peacefrog1916 Apologies, just sick to death of people saying Shane is English- he isn't. He was only born in Kent because his family were visiting relatives over christmas. Two of the band are from Dublin so London-Irish I can live with. The Pogues were only attacked by Noel HIll who has since said they are a great band. The Pogues were loved in Ireland from the off but some of the purists couldn't take the punk angle. It had nothing to do with not being " authentically Irish".
