I remember watching Tool (or was it Live?) earlier in the day and the the guitarist (or was it the bass player) launched his guitar in to the mud-filled mosh pit (this was Sydney) and warned us all not to get hepatitis. The rest is a blur except for Tea Party and NIN.
let no1 argue anything about this festival, 4 the 1's that were there im pretty sure most of u like me were on lsd and cant remember who played where and when (well execpt nin played at night lol trippy) but 4 me it was the best every festival/line up and sumthing ill neva 4get, so many flashbacks lol, A+++++ ty 4 posting this
was at the melb conc at olympic park..stayed for FNM and booted ...fuckin shocker of a day...rain freezing. Was an awesome line up though.. Def FX..L7 and Kelly Slater also played in a punk band.
i was stupid enough to wear shorts that day as it was sunny in the morning but as soon as we got there it started pissing down rain and we had to wait about an hour to get in, my legs were blue!! Was an awesome line up though, nin, body count, tool, tea party.....
yep it was part of the Alternative Nation festival that ran for just that one money - They were 2nd on the bill to Nine Inch Nails but FNM blew everyone off stage that day. It was a great bill - Primus, Tool, Lou Reed, Pop Will Eat Itself, Violent Femmes....
If I remember correctly, NIN headlined the main stage and Tea Party headlined one of the smaller stages inside. Or maybe it was Ween? I can't remember, I was only 13... I do remember watching FNM that day and having my mind blown.
I have the whole show on tape but only from the wide shot as the stuff shot from the pit was just of the first song. Not really sure when I will get a chance to upload any other clips.
This, my friends, is simply FNM's rawest, most underrated masterpiece.

I meant to say it ran for only one year and lost a lot of money....

Shit, I didn't know this. My two favourite bands played together. On the same bill. Around the corner from where I live.
Thanks for the trivia lol bring back the 90's!

Unreal! My two favourite bands together on the same bill, five minutes from where I live.
If this happened now i would explode from excitement. bring back the 90's!!!

I thought that Nine Inch Nails were after FNM and The Tea Party were the closing act.

Although I was in Melbourne, not Sydney.

Nice one.... I was one of the lucky few that saw them in a tiny little pub in Parramatta. They have been my favourite band since.

On The Real Thing Tour? That was good times. I saw them at Dee Why and The Marquee and they were all class.
