I have never had so much of a fun time watching a film before... I watched this on my mp3 on the bus and was laughing at random times, and had people staring at me :D

i learned more about life thrcough watching Big Mommas House 2 than any of the dogme films. There is a poignant and articulate subplot throughout the whole film.

The part were he farts on a cops head dressed as a fat woman. far surpasses any social comment the dogme films have ever made.

I saw this for the first time when I was 14 years old, now I'm 20 and saw the movie for the fifth time maybe, and I think that only now I understood the message. I remember my stepfather watch the movie and didn't like it because they were making fun of handicaped people->wrong, they are making fun of the people who don't care about handicaps, who think they are normal and others that step out of the society patterns are idiots, people who are a bunch of hipocrits.

I think more than that, they are releasing the inner idiot; the chance to behave in any way regardless of outside judgment.

It's not about how others see them but how they see themselves hence the terrible part when most of them can't really pull it off at the crucial moment they should do i.e. at their real work-place. Only one can pull it off, and that is in the place where it is totally unacceptable but she does it any way regardless of the terrible cost she pays for such behaviour.

Dogme95 is a travesty to the future of film; Lars Von Trier weak attempt to break the fourth wall seems to pretentious; more like "I will get attention by shocking viewers" Shocking cinema isn't always cinema.

You've completely missed the point of Dogme95 then. It's not about being shocking, that just happens to be some filmmaker's approach (both within and outside of dogme95). D95 is about going back to basics with filmmaking, and putting more emphasis on plot and characters and less on overproduction. If you have to use lighting, greenscreens, cranes and tripods, and even music to compensate for bad material..well, that's why there is D95.
