  • I think thatthe butterfly made her sick. :(

  • scarlett fever

  • lol your self

  • im here because my girlfriend is about to ring my throat if i don't watch this

  • @agentfire102 lol

  • @lifecandy1 ikr?

  • @Xiaomux

It has nothing to do with being blind. People who are deaf perfer not to speak because they can not hear what they are saying. Words just come out as if you have cotton in your mouth.

  • Esse filme bom

  • How was it that she lost her voice? She just went blind and deaf

  • @Xiaomux, she lost her hearing and sight before she was old enough to begin talking, therefore, she never heard speaking, and was never able to process the connection until she became educated.

  • @TheOfficialErin You can hear talking before you can speak. A baby starts hearing at 5 months in the womb. Therefore, she did hear speaking and and was able to respond like all babies do until she got sick.

  • @fallenangel11891 Yes all babies can hear or almost all babies and they respond by babbling.Giberish but baby language and sometimes they say words such as "Ma""pa"etc...Helen was 19 months when she got sick so she could talk at this age.And knew many words but when she lost hearing and sight she lost language and later she learnt how to talk. And maybe her subconscious kept a few words she later could say with her mouth.

  • awwww i have a coisnon who is just deaf not blind so sad having a deaf and blind child

  • Comment removed

  • No wonder she cant see her eyes are closed

  • @metalrocker627 she's blind so there is no use of keeping you eyes open so she keeps them close.... if she has her eyes open she still will not see.

  • Helen keller is my hero

  • Helen had a baby brother or sister?

  • @TaylorSwift4567 Yes mildred Keller, her youngest sister and two half brothers,James and Simpson. And later a brother named Philippe.

  • What the fucking hell

  • Hey u no wat i want a world of pease with no rebels and i want 2 fre the hostages

  • this was my favorite book when i was little

  • those stupid subtitles are so annoying i hate them. please make it go away!

  • @kickbuttgirl2 Just click the annotations thing, they will go away.

  • "fvkjhbv;lihb" - Helen Keller

  • Thank you for posting this up! I was sick at school a few years ago and I never gotten the chance to watch this since I was at home sick.

  • Who the fuck is Anne Frank?

  • @ISavageBadgerI u have never heard of the diary of anne frank?.... u usually refer to it around the time in school wen learning about the holocaust..... its a play/movie.... very gud actually

  • @MsDontdothis It was an ACTUAL diary first written by Anne Frank. Then a play, and then a film.

  • @ISavageBadgerI O.o I don't really know how to respond to that other then google it

  • @dragon202920 It was a joke referring to the film Clerks II =D

  • @ISavageBadgerI OOo ok

  • Why does she bother to tell her to stop If she is deaf

  • @tollulu it doesnt make sense does it?

  • @tollulu Probably force of habit. It's kinda sad really.

  • @ElcycinuGER: Und wies einfach en Scheiß ist :D,

aber ich toleriere es natürlich das du Englisch beherrschst und als hochintelligenter Mensch Behindi Tv schaust ;-)

  • This is the kind of cartoon I watched when I was little. We didn't get Cartoon Network. When I tell people that, they're like "Oh my god, how did you grow up without ever watching Recess?" Well, I watched animated versions of Helen Keller, Little Women, Charlotte's Web, Anne of Green Gables, Tom Sawyer, etc. And strangely enough, I don't feel like I missed out on anything or had a less than wonderful childhood. XD

  • my name is Helen

  • 3:47 Now look, I mean.. not look, listen, you listen to me... wait... uhh...

  • 0:04 how ironic

  • wuts with the guys accent?

@ Nicopelli 123 That is no "crap" it is part of a basis of a normal education in our-days. If you do not like airings from the Dicover Education Channel... just use Youtube's Search Programme with Keywords like "Teletubbies"...

    Best E.

  • When she giggles, she sounds like Tommy off rugrats

  • @PoutingXEvoke It is the same atctor

  • Five years after going blind she has trouble feeling her way through her own completely unchanged house?

And I don't think she wanted her doll. She's what, eight? I think she wanted a hug. She was making a hugging motion, not a doll motion.

  • Five years after going blind she has trouble feeling her way through her own completely unchanged house?

  • i want to kill the baby

  • i first known this because of my classmate she had the helen keller DVD we watched it .......... helen has a short temper i mean really short >.>

  • and this lil girl sounds like tommy from the rugrats lol

  • @princessrocroyal i was thinking she sounded like lil lol :) but now that u say that, she sounds more like tommy.

  • @no1Smallvillefan1 seee wat i mean

  • the begining of this whole movie is fake helen lost her eye sight and hearing wen she was a baby not a toddler and the doctor didnt kno she was blind or deaf

  • I love the mother's swinging loopy voice.

    "bliNd anD DeAf?!"

  • I saw tgr real movie

  • 0:50 she slaps her daughter to wake her up?

  • It's Tommy Pickles voice! [unless I'm wrong...] Anyway...Helen Keller has been one of my hero's since I've first learned about her :D

  • uhm the music is a little anoying

  • she has the voice of tommy form the Rugrats

  • i thought she was born deaf and blind?

  • @molls131 no actually she wasnt, after 19 months of her birth, she then contracted an illness described by doctors as an acute congestion of the stomach and the brain, which might have been scarlet fever or meningitis. The illness did not last for a particularly long time, but it left her deaf and blind.

  • @Peterlinkdark11 thanks! very interesting!

  • @Peterlinkdark11 wikipedia ftw...lmao

  • @Tu51ndBl4d3 you know it ;D

  • where would they keep ice cream in 1881

  • BUTTERFLY DISEASE. My best friend Jenette always imitates Helen Keller it makes me mad

  • WAIT!!! How does she hear when her mom says that she can't hold the baby?!?!!?

  • I'm pretty sure this cartoons wrong. Helen Keller was jewish girl in hiding from Nazi Germany.

  • @TheGypsySlayer

    THAT'S ANNE FRANK. >.<

  • katie keller never called her husband arthur, she always called him "captain"

  • @YoYoBlazeShow

Funny you should say that. Rewatch 0:40 to 0:45.

  • @NatureLover987 Yeah that's what I'm saying, they got this all wrong. She never called him Arthur in the original movie or in the play or in the books and most likely not in real life. So funny you should comment

  • @NatureLover987 isnt it just wut she said?

  • @NatureLover987 i think thats the point he was trying to get

  • @YoYoBlazeShow yeah thats's true

  • @thevikingsftw

Why did you just get blocked? You figure it out.

  • What did Helen Keller’s parents do to punish her?

    - Left the plunger in the toilet bowl

  • all she had was a FEVAH

  • @kawaiikazui

In those days fevers were dangerous cuz they didn't have antibiotics etc. And the cartoon has it wrong--- she was MUCH younger when she got the fever, almost a baby. Even today, if a baby gets a fever, it can be dangerous . And she got it for a long time, caused brain damage.

  • @Slushation oh i was imitating the dude that said fever xD

  • @Slushation not for too long though, it did leaver her deaf and blind (the fever caused by a encerpherlitis? menigitis? afffected her nerves), but her will to learn and study was there and it did not leave her mentally affected. Best E.

  • This is parchly incorrect but on the other hand it's an okay video.

  • she sounds like Tommy from Rugrats.

  • " Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing" --Helen Keller's famous "quote"(:

  • "Helen is blind and deaf..." "BliNd aNd DeAf!?" "what are you saying!?!?"

  • lol skips: 1882, 3 weeks later, 5 years later. ohmigosh xD

  • This is actually a really stupid version of her story. This is hardly accurate.

  • HEY! I saw this last year in school!

  • she cant hear or see omgsh thats terrible!!!

  • i never knew they made a cartoon movie...... o.O

  • @TheRikRoll hellen keller is cute

  • hellen keller should remind us all to be strong and always believe in hope.

  • one time it had pi*10000 views

  • @TheRikRoll

    Yep, no prob

    Glad you enjoyed

  • I love your channel!!! =)

    Thank you very much.

  • @katy14439

    Yay, thanks.

    Thanks for watching

  • "Herrrrph durfhggg murrhghhh." The most beautiful Helen Keller phrase.

  • If you have a fever for almost a month then thats what will happen so be aware oh and I was just letting you know.

  • @34RiverStone Blind Peolpe Dont Know When Their Eyes Are Open Or Not So Thats Why Not All Blind Peolpe Have Their Eyes Open

  • Um, this is sort of inacurate.

  • why are her eyes closed? A blind person's eyes are open.

  • The doctor in real life didn't tell she was blind and deaf !

  • @19kitfox I didn't mean it~

  • I love Helen boy those old days

  • for everyone who's wondering, that IS e.g. daily's voice. (tommy pickles from the rugrats)

  • is that tommy pickles voice actor?

  • I love Helen soo much! She's had a strong heart : )

  • My church showed me this video it make makes me think how lucky I am to hear and see

  • loooool the flour just went like BOH. hehe!

  • @pianoluvr100

    What do you think? ;)

  • @NatureLover987 I dont' know what to think, but I DO think it IS a little far fetched. Is that how it really happened? or were you just kidding? roflmao

  • @pianoluvr100

    eh, i was kidding

  • @NatureLover987 oh roflmao :)

  • @NatureLover987 So it this real ? never hard of it

  • @Reymond112386 i think it was the butterflys and the flowers she was playing in

  • @Reymond112386 you are right

  • im not being mean but when hellan makes that grunting noise it sounds like one of the babys of rugrats

  • @kumoD11 Helen only could express herself this way,by grunting noises. In one book helen was told to grunt like a dog, because she desperately tried to talk with her family and couldn't hear her voice. It is sad!She stopped grunting this way when Ann arrived and tought her to communicate.

  • anyone else listen to don't trust me and wonder who helen keller is?

  • escuse me I'M WRONG scuse me :P

  • it's wrong helen is blind, deaf, and dumb. She can't see the butterfly or come back her mum!! wrong

  • Wow!!! It gives me goosebumps....

  • They made a cartoon movie out of this!? Never knew >.>

    I like the 1962 version

  • Gosh! Her mom smacked her like 5 times! In the face too! Dang!

  • @kolbie5 lol but you suppose to slap people in the face a bit if they are losing concious

  • she sounds like tommy pickles

  • helens basicly a living vegtable

  • Poor helen she would have been nicer if she knew how 2 communicate

  • i watched this at school every year from pre-k to 5th grade i love it

  • Its so sad! I feel bad about her! We learned about her at school!

  • @sseptony i have a friend whos blind and deaf.

a couple of student ketp pushing and tripping him.

he was scared and confused but as soon as i grabed

his hand he knew i ment him no harm. we became fast friends.

  • @saphireroze001 Why those kids push him around?

  • @collgoff

because they think hes a freak.

thats the problem with the world today.

people are always judging others just because they are diffrent.

  • @saphireroze001 Yay I know how it feels like.

  • @collgoff me too.

    i have autisum.

  • @saphireroze001 So do I in fact I have diffrent Autisum called PDD.

  • @saphireroze001 Wow I didn't noice that but I think Helen was a woman who change the world and she and your are quite like etch other.

  • @collgoff what do you mean?

  • @saphireroze001I mean Helen Keller and that friend of yours are both bilnd and deaf.

  • @collgoff

    he died.

  • @saphireroze001 Really? What happen to him?

  • @collgoff

    he had lung cancer.

    he didnt recover.

it was one of the only blind/deaf kids
