It amazes me i still hear Luba on the radio( 3or4 of their most popular songs)but compared to the likes of Britney and at least half a dozen of the johnny come lately pop divas Luba never had the kind of fame or fortune they receive and yet i never hear their "hits" on any mainstream rock or retro fm stations.
Luba is of course CDN & our music business is somewhat "closed off from the world" I know Justin Bieber is giant exception.
The difference is...LONG after Britney & her clones have faded into the ether,...LUBA's songs will still be enjoyed.
United States specializes in "making" Pop Stars. Canada focus more on content or talent in music, instead of "Stardom" Yes of course exceptions to that rule also...I'm generalizing
