  • Great song !!!

  • Their 2nd single - which despite it being possibly the hardest sounding track they've ever made, containing some startlingly original brass textures, seems to have been disowned by the band, as it is quite hard to get hold of. I got it on 12" when it came out and played it to death. It is totally unlike any of their other releases. Hear it - you will want to dance to it. And so hard you could rollerskate on it. B-side, 'Cucumber Garden' is almost Cabaret Voltaire-ish. which is a good thing.

  • its sooo good. China Crisis forever....

  • They used to play this song on KROQ fm in Los Angeles, one of the greatest flashbacks! i should say what i mean, i should mean what i say....

  • Thanks for posting this great tune, 0:46 I remember this pic in Sham Hits Magazine.

  • I f*ckin love this song!!!!!

  • it's the very first song on the B-side cover of their China Crisis Collection ( 2CD - red cover ) which I believe was quite limited.. Great alternative songs like The Instigator, Some People I Know Who Lead Fantastic Lives, ( haunting instrumental ) Docklands, Animalistic ( zoo mix )

  • a gem..........

  • Giod, I haven't heard this in years. Have it on 12" somewhere - they never sounded tougher.

  • This is a lost gem - where did you find it? I can't find it anywhere to download it...

  • it's in the iTunes store

  • Where? I can't find it on UK iTunes

  • Gosh! you're right! There's "Difficult Shapes & Passive Rhythms, Some People Think It's Fun To Entertain" but it's not the complete version :) But I can help you

  • KROQ played this.

  • Used to run my high school radio station. When this showed up, I stuck it in my bag and took it home! Great lost track.

  • song is actually no ordinary lover lyric contains verse watching over burning fields

  • if possible please post watching over burning fields its their next best single

  • The best single they ever released. They were still an underground combo in those days.Full of new wave/punk funk energy.Yeah!

  • No mate - Wishful Thinkin is

  • Oh, I dunno. Nothing makes my skin prickle the way the extended version of "No More Blue Horizons (Fool Fool Fool)" does. It's a pricelessly perfect track to these ears.

  • Each to there own mate

Horses for Courses, we can both agree that they are a good band though eh?.

  • My old friend wrote and directed an interactive film called that, btw.

Of course we can both agree that Eddie and Garry were (and still are) top-notch! Actually, I often listen to the Diary of a Hollow Horse album more than the others, even though none of my favourite singles were on there.

Another way of putting it: better bad China Crisis than best Hootie & the Blowfish.

  • Totally agree, the great forgotten CC track

  • Great Song......Great Band
