But most people read it as "rock on", a positive symbol. But then, they did use to consider all rock music to be music of Satan, which was a joke. I still find that amusing.

The scientist story is real, given that the Church views science as evil and the work of Satan. They also view Egyptian mythology as evil, which is interesting given the Bible is a blatant rip off of Egyptian mythology.

The Eye of Horus is a symbol of protection, health, and royal power. However, given that Egypt and its Pharaohs are branded "evil" in the Bible and Moses must free "God's people" aka the Israelites, the Eye of Horus is considered by some to be a sign of the Devil. Only it isn't.
