i'm afraid to buy it...i've bought two of the gt xpress because in less than a month, with light use, the non-stick coating just peels off...it worked great before it started peeling...

How to you wash them and with what? Also, do you tend to put utensils on the teflon coating? Certain dish soaps I heard can contribute to it, as well as if you are scrubbing it out with a particularly coarse sponge. Also, sometimes utensils can scratch it and then water and moisture can get thru the teflon and under, making it peel. Teflon is also dangerous when flaking, as you can ingest it. Flaking teflon utensils should always be thrown away. Non Teflon is the way to go actually

No as the G.F. grill has a flat angled cooking surface on top and bottom with channels that let the fat run into a collecting tray. You wouldn't be able to fry eggs or make a chocolate pudding on a G.F. grill.
