  • It would be great to hook one of those up to your home alarm system and, put it inside your house.

  • It doesn't seem loud to me, and I have full volume.

  • I sleep with this noise.

  • loud

  • Can you buy these online like not from ebay or anythin?

  • God I wish I had one. I'm pretty sure my neighbors would shit themselves day 1.

  • takes a long time to wind down

  • Óh jeee!

  • goodbye headphones. hello hearing aid.

  • they should make that your alarm to wake up

  • Put your hand in it while someone record it, I can guarantee it will go viral on youtube

  • WOW thats awesome I want one. Just playing on low volume got my GF slamming doors!

  • sound like thunderbolt

  • F1 Engine sound))))

  • Thats a castle castings siren with a 7.5 HP brooks compton motor.

The most powerfull siren made in the UK.

  • @crownhill Which makes mine the 5hp variant with the more 'angular' design of Hawker-Siddley/Brooks Compton-Parkinson motor...

  • can i stick my hands in the wholes when it sounds? :P that would hurt XD

  • that on mean mother...shut your mouth waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh

  • @dj812ful SHAFT!

  • To Me, the distortion made it sound like the red warning siren from the Civil Defense Information Bulletin (CDIB)

  • badass siren

  • Silent hill!

  • sounds like a be hive giving birth through a air horn lovely :3

  • i like the sound of this siren, not that muscito sound sirens

  • Wonderful.

Lets hear it down to rotor stop.

  • holy fuck dude i need to go to the er its so damn loud

  • how did you get it?

  • this thing is for what?

  • fuck me that was loud in my headphone !

  • its got that classic air raid siren sound

  • I use one of these to wake my grandmother up with in the morning so she can have her coffee, she's a little hard of hearing !

  • now that will wake your neighbors up in the middle of the nite if it went off by actcident

  • so that's how they work damn we never have those on my island

  • Testing this in your garage without ear protection is a really bad idea. The only thing that could have made it a worse idea is if you'd closed the garage door and stood in there with it. The walls reflect and concentrate the sound right at you. Your neighbors' ears were probably ringing if the garage faces their house

cool though, i love these old sirens, especially the dual ones, and the harmony the two fans create. You wouldn't think, with both having the same pitch, that you could hear both

  • The neighbours must loved em

  • has anyone noticed on wind down they sound like a highpitched lambo

  • This is roughly 3,000 decibles. Trust me I'm a scientist.

  • @sportpedmikey scientist? most air raid sirens are rated around 115-130 decibles. nothing on earth can produce 3,000 dB, not even 1,000 dB.

the loudest air raid siren is the chrystler air raid siren and thats 138 dB from 100 ft away.

  • @hootergirlsrhot You clearly don't know who I am. I'm a scientist.

  • @sportpedmikey the onlt thing that could have been 300 Db is the big bang

  • i want one

  • that is a british WW2 carter air raid siren, nice, i haven't seen these in years

  • wow thats lound....my mom is malaysian

  • Comment removed

  • that sounds like a xt22

  • such a nice sounding siren.

  • Yea like this dont scare the SHIT out of me like all the others!!!

  • good bearings

  • What you just said was a load of BS.

  • @TheLaurencekid dude, study BIG TIME on sirens and decibels. NOTHING on earth can create a 1500 or a 2000 db. the loudest siren ever created was the Chrystler air raid siren which was rated at 138 DB while a thunderbolt is 126 DB

try studying online and using books instead of using Wikipedia

  • Freaking LOUD!!!

  • INCOMING!!!

  • HOLY FUCK

  • Castle castings siren+ distortion= FS Thunderbolt? Anyone?

  • No, it lacks the 'throaty' sound of a thunderbolt that is created by the blower and horn.

  • True, true. although I meant it sounded vaguely like the thunderbolt

  • OH YEAH

  • very chilling and fantastic

  • The cardboard being blown away and the sound distortion stopping at 1:45! This siren really growls one's ears off the head!

  • Nice siren!

I recently restored a Brook single phase motor, and they are a very nice motor!, very smooth and low vibration!

  • that siren has good bearings
