@Anhiksi I wouldn't say perfect, a lot of the answers are still... "wacky". It's even worse if you read the interviews. If you want something that makes sense and solve everything (not juste the 2/3 things said in the story, which don't work anyway), well... you need weeks on it or even more.

By the way, Ryu said that he hasn't done working with the uminekoverse on his blog after ep8. So expect more.

Anyway, I like umineko a LOT too, thing is, since it's not really "over" (and will probably never be, Ryu said that he will never give a "true" answer), well, perfect doesn't really fit. The real problem with the anime is that it didn't work with the "Season TV broadcast" format. It really needed to be released in long OVAs in my opinion. Trying to do 1-4 in one season meant there wasn't enough time to elaborate on story critical parts. Trying to make every chapter a season would've been needlessly wasteful and impossible to fill.

I really wish Umineko had released an OVA series.

It probably won't. The anime's sales have been doing poorly (Although, this is just hearsay, I have no actual proof of this) But it makes sense since no one likes the anime anyway (This is not hearsay, just poke your nose on the internet, half the people will pretend it never existed =\)

If you're interested in knowing the whole story, Google "Witch Hunt" and buy both VNs (Umineko 1-4 AND Chiru 5-8) If you only know from the anime, don't buy Chiru without the first game!

These weird drawings and the source of it's origin, the Visual Novel. I started from the very beginning from EP 1 and that one would determine wether I should read the entire Umineko VN's or not, and what happened??

I am PSYCHED for EP 8 after reading all 7, you learn the true fun deep meaning of Umineko, try it!

@Zentsugi I agree that Ryukishi07 isn't the best artist around, but his overall character design, his plot, make up tremendously for it. What makes him successful is his ability to compose a story so complex and yet intense that it keeps his audience guessing more. 80% of his work is plot, the remaining 20% I would say goes to just overall character design and art. So if you can only find fault with his art and lack of eyecandy, then just try the PS3 version.

Also order the game through the Internet and pay the shipment cost along with the game cost because it's not available in game stores in my country.

if you want to read what happens next after the anime, read Umineko EP5, then EP6 and then EP7. Umineko hasnt finished yet, but it is almost over.

@immblueversion well i guess so, after replaying the first 4 more intently that's when everything was put together for me(but chapter 5 did help :D). since it's kind of made in the same way as "And then there were none", In Umineko the first 4 chapters is enough to solve it, and the next two give some more hints, then the last 2 chapters give you the answer.

@Kibafan007 Requiem is a one-in-a-million kakera where Krauss and Natsuhi accepted him fully, and so Jessica grew up with an older brother her whole life and he's a beloved member of the family. EP5 was just Lambdadelta basically fucking with Natsuhi.

@YamiAura I read eps 5 and 6 and I understand a little more. It looks like the Other Battler doesn't even matter to the mystery at this point. What gets me is the # of people on the island. For the real Beatrice to not be one of the original 18 (except Shannon and Kanon) and commit the murders, she'd have to be one of the 17 other than Kinzo. She could only be Shannon, Kanon, Shkanon, or one of the 17 in disguise.

I suspect Rudolf, Rosa, and/or Krauss of being the culprit with Genji and Nanjo as their accomplices. The 'bomb' mentioned in Dawn is the faulty boiler. And I suspect that the culprit had changed arc-to-arc Turn and onward, but Legend's culprit is the most important and will most likely be the culprit in Requiem.
