  • I work for secunda marine and they do take saftey very serious. I actually am going down on this ship very often to pump it out. i have been through just about every inch of this ship high and low and its pretty freaky i wouldnt say its haunted like a gohst ship but it has been claimed by some gang names and could be unsafe if you go when there around.

  • @checnomic I wanted to take video of Neftegaz-29 inside the ship, is it possible you could get me some? ... It took me over an hour to translate the name and get info on this ship. Very little is known of its history if this ship. Is it possible I could get some background info on this ship? I love the ocean and mystery ships like this. THANKs!

  • Is that a Cormorant @ 1:02.

  • just sink it and put her out of her misery

  • it looks to be a russian cargo/lumber ship with thee bridge fwd,,, could it be a off shore ship for drilling rigs

  • I have photos from inside the vessel. I've posted them on my facebook page, and soon to be on my blog.

  • @nootz101 whoa.. cool.. id love to have some film of inside this shit... share ya pics when they are online... thanks

  • i worked on the sister ships to this mighty vessel back in the early 90s in the caspian sea (neftegaz 11 ) now re-named gultekin askerovagreat memory lane video thanks

  • It looks so cool i want to go on it, what makes it so rare and why dont they let people up close to it?

  • You cant go on it, you will get arrested. The company that owns it takes safety very serious. I think the road is closed off to this ship now also.

  • @tperson787 because there are ghost pirates that live on it that will steele your shoes!

  • It is boat which has was seizes?. How long that he(it) is has dartmount

  • @fiomeg as I know it was sold to Canadian firm in 2004

  • @PRO100Cynep Secunda Marine bought it. There was 4 of them, 3have been refitted and are in service now... Search 'Burin Sea" to see one in action. Burin Sea, Trinity Sea, Panuke Sea, and soon to be Intrepid Sea (Neftegaz-29).

  • Very cool video, this answers a LOT of questions iv always had when i drive by here. now i can tell people whats up with it. I was hoping youd go on it, maybe next time you could. or i might just have to myself

  • i tried to go on it twice.. the guy was nice enough to allow me on the pier. there is always someone watching this ship. they guy told me if i went on it i'd be arrested.. cops would be there in 5 minutes..

so the best u could do is sneak in at night.. the fence to get back there is locked now anyways i think... so this vid may be the closest you may come to this mysterious ship, Neftegaz-29. :)

  • im hoping to sign on with secunda this summer as a Marine enginnering cadet

    any tipes

    great vid

  • Wow, amazing ship! There's a chance come February that I could be on one of these doing cadet work; should be exciting.

  • Thats good news, hope you get to sea on one of these ships.. They have indestructable hulls... lme know if you do.. id like to see some film.

  • it looks very nice it impresses me i wont it

  • is that the boat thats docked to that little island to the right on the way into Dartmouth on Akerly?

  • yea.. thats wrights cove.. a small little place no one knows about.. right off windmill road by maritime steel ... its been there for years.. i guess the russian fleet ran out of money and Secunda Marine took ownership... the hulls on these ships are tough as rock... search Intrepid Sea on her to see the overhaul and re-service of 3 other boats like this...

  • better yet, search Secunda's Neftegaz Sister Ships on here.. that is the video of the 3 other overhauled vessels like this. ;)

  • Cool! Never noticed it.

  • Hard to miss if you ever been in Burnside, Akerley Blvd.. also look to the left, Dartmouth side harbour if you ever cross the MacKay Bridge from Halifax to Dartmouth. Near the B.I.O.

  • I have a vid of a Russian Ship on Display in Fall River, MA check it out if you want.

  • Im sure its a big tug and offshore supply vessel. Looks impressive

  • i want to know about ex russian torpedo boat catchers paticly tl-35 lanched in 1983

  • I've always wondered about this ship, like many others. Absolutely WEIRD I stumbled across this video.

Too bad you didn't actually go ON it, or even in it.

I sure as shit would hah. RCAF Beaverbank Villa radar is private property but they doesn't stop anyone. hmph. maybe next time ehh?

  • There is always someone there watching the ship. I was there a few times, and the guy would not allow me on the ship.. its too dangerous.

This property is owned by a huge company, Secunda. And the guy assured me I would be arrested if I went on the ship.

But he was nice enough to let me walk the dock by the ship. He said alot of people go down there, so there is no point chasing them away.

But going on the ship is forbidden.. But maybe some night I will sneak on.. :p ...

  • its the russian navies latest vodka class attack AHTS vessel

  • fueled by potatoe skins and orange peelings :p

  • Right on, alway wondered what was up with this ship going to work in the mornings .........thanks

  • Ummm.. Where? Say at which point in the video.

  • No no.. He's cut off, no more video games about sea warfare for him! :D

  • There is gun mounts on this ship?? where? lol.. Maybe .. But its a tug vessel so im not sure, maybe you know more..?

  • this ship is owned by secunda marine of dartmouth nova scotia, they bought 4 neftagaz hulls, 3 of which have been overhauled, they are now the Burin Sea, Trinity Sea, and the Panuke Sea. N29 will become the Intrepid Sea in the near future. the Burin is a DP class 1 AHTS working on the grand banks of Newfoundland. These overhauled ships are amazing sea boats and handle20+ meter seas of the grand banks easily.

  • wow.. thanks for the info.. and clearing up some of the mysteries of this phantom ship.

  • oh you sneaky bastard! hahaha, i always wondered about that ship, thanks alot for posting this! Man, imagine how creepy it would be to walk around on the decks of it at night

  • Yes ! .. The name is НЕФТЕГАЗ-29. If you didnt notice in the pics.. but it took me 1 HOUR of googling and translating to get the english name... There is very few websites in Russian or english with any information on these Neftegaz ships.. .Like the government was trying to cover up these VERY unsafe ships, of the Neftegaz series, wich im sure many have died on and some have sank.

  • impressive ship verry bad end

  • bad condition very sad end,,,,,,,please tell me who sing this song???

  • Back in the 1990's there was a 'drug mothership' that was beached in some far flung cove/beach in Nova Scotia, could this be the one? I see that all the time driving out to Bedford on Windmill Rd. Thanks for posting ;)

  • NO .. lol.. this is a Russian suppy/tug vessel.. NEFTEGAZ, m8.. No drugs on this vessel.

I think this ship just failed insepction in Canada and cost WAY too much to send it back to Russia/Ukraine.

There is like 70 or so of the Neftegaz ships that were built in the 80s.

I think they built them all out of scrap coz most of them were junked/lost overseas... Oh the Russian economy fails it's shipping industry once again. :D

  • so sad! Neftegaz brothers have not the good the end of the life , likes Neftegaz 67 sink in HONG KONG

  • Thanks for your video reply.. and yes such a lonely 'life' for these ships.

  • Bedford FTW. Best place I ever lived. Edmonton is decent, but nothing is as....eccentric and history-rich as the East coast.

  • good

  • I'm glad you like, ya

  • What an awesome site. Good job of getting so close. I drove by millions of times wondering what it looked like up close. So old but so big.

  • A ghost ship in Halifax back harbour

  • Great job. This strange and rusty ship has had me wanting to go see it for years .Public access is a bit sketchy. But you went and seeked it out with close video and pics .Thanks, good job

  • Yes, great vid man!

  • Killer ship. Great color to. Where did you get all the red paint?
