Yeah the story is a little weird. But, it's a ninja movie. Don't expect much story from a movie like this. Just turn your brain off and enjoy it.

some turds here are just making a big fuckinggg hype over this trashy movie. the truth is that a commercially oriented flopper movie like this one will never equal the classics like the seven samurai, sanjuro, yojimbo, samurai rebellion, sword of doom, harakiri, assassination, & 13 assassins. the fact is that if you're a film student, you don't study & take seriously a movie like this in order to learn something that will last for centuries.

i visited some family friends a couple of months ago and we rented some movies and my mom and the women of the family we visited didnt want to watch this because "it sounds stupid" XD but me and my brother and her husband actully liked the movie i espiecially like that already 5 minutes into the movie theres blood all over the place XD

This is a movie about ninjas. That means you can expect lots of action and killing, and the story comes secondary. If you had that mindset while watching it you'd probably have enjoyed it a lot more. Be that as it may, Ninja Assassin is probably the best film representation of how deadly ninja's can be, and its definitely the best ninja movie i've ever seen.

this movie has two stories in one,It's Raizo's early years and the middle where meka comes in and at the same time her story begins and they both together create a huge part of the movie. Becaue both story and worlds collide it gets confusing to some. just watch it closely and you'll see it all together.

LOL! Yeah when i was watching Ninja Assassin with my brothers? The movie was okay. I didnt came here for the storyline cause... you know ninja's movies HAVE no storyline. I came here ONLY for the violence's, and I know alot of people dont even care about storyline. Me I do because I care and what does the movie have in store, but watching seeing this movie i just came there only for the violence's that was it. Anyway like your review Anthony!

I actually liked the movie... much better than most other "ninja-ish" movies. To me, it's like a "B-movie with an A-movie budget."

It's definitely a popcorn flick, though. Then again, you don't go to a movie called "ninja assassin" an expect a grade-A story. Much like most martial art films, you go for action.

It don't think it's that much more ridiculous than most Jet Li, Jackie Chan, or any other action film.

I could say a lot of things, but it's still just a B-movie with an A-movie budget.
