I wanted to add that anyone with cPanel hosting will have PHPAdmin in your control panel. It will be under the Databases section in cPanel. You can just click on "Export" choose the stuff you want to backup, Select ALL if you're not sure or see a file called "Information Schema" then select that with your DB and click Export. The options that are selected by Default do not need to be changed. Godaddy does not have cPanel hosting last time I checked so cant help ya there

very nice tutorial 5 stars , i have a q, first let me tell you am new in all of this; ok my q? i have an opencart webpage and i would like to backup that webpage to my sql in my computer ( i understand that by doing this i will be able to work on my page with out the risk of damaging it ) so this were my steps 1 . i installed my sql in my computer , 2 installed my sql workbench software in my computer , 3 intalled the opencart software in my compute 4. i would like to install

I was looking for the way to import DB of size 150MB, too. Do you have any tips? When I compress, it only imports less than 10% of total.
