when I google "flo toys", my Norton IS 2011 tells me flotoys has an identity threat. Phishing or something. I was attempting to find info on this and if the site is legit, but I gave up and ordered my flo lights elsewhere. Looking into buying a pair of flowtoys glow stick poi. You can choose from different colors, and they 10 different settings for the glow. They look amazing, I can't wait to get them!

@45lucy45 I've seen that called a "buzzsaw." You shorten the poi and spin them split-time either towards you or away from you, with your hands pointing at each other. You can also do it in a butterfly pattern.

@45lucy45 Look up either orbital or buzzsaw. An orbital is where you cross your cords and pull, it's a lot harder to learn than you would think, but buzzsaw is one of the first things i learned.

@AlbiSancho Get the flowlights with the crystal case. It's very light and designed for glowstringers. It's soft, so it's kind of like glowstringing with padding! Not sure how well the colecord works for it because of the stretchyness. You might just want to string some shoestrings through your setup ;-)

@Rammstein2720 Colecord works just fine with them. Myself and tfayyad here on youtube count colecord as our crystal poi leads of choice. I use the Home of Poi already fixed colecord setup with their in-house ultra-tough handles. Tfayyad buys 30 feet of loose colecord at a time and uses it without the handles. For the record, I have used official flowtoy leashes for a minute, just not for five hours at a time as I have colecords. I didn't notice a huge difference.

@theempathogen What I mean about that is for glowstringing type moves. I've tried colecord with glowsticks before and it just stretched too much and it gripped my skin actually making it more painful. I love it for normal poi though :) I actually came up with an idea for making a throwing handle out of colecord. It's basically a mini isis poi head for a handle.

About gear- I've got pair of Ogg Poi and it's most comfortable and most beautiful gear I ever had. Wieght, colours and that bright light really help to learn flowers. I tried about month to spin the antyspin flower- I can't do this. And when I get my Ogg Poi I learnt antyspin in one evening. It's really lovely gear. Buy Flow Toys! Now! ^^ Now I have evil plan to buy Air Flow Poi with flowmass ;]

well, they're made of Polycarbonates. I did some rough calculations based on Wikipedia's data, and assuming that I didn't do anything weird (I did make sure that all my calculations work mathematically at least) then one flowpoi should be able to take somewhere just below 600 lbs worth of pressure. am I saying to go try that with yours, no, but they should hold up very well as long as you don't expose them to chemicals that break down polycarbonates.

hey nick, how durable are the flowpoi and flow lights? I do a ton of wraps, and a lot of times i smack myself and my sticks really hard. This is why I usually use glowsticks - while they are temporary and environmentally not great, they almost never break (I've had one out of about 1-2,000 break on me).
