Land Rover, please actually make a God damn Defender. Do this test. If you put all the Defenders (and pre-defender Land Rovers) next to each other in chronological order and if you cant say (like you could with the current series) "oh yeah I get it - its the same truck" with respect to your prototype then you have FAILED.

Can you imagine a farmer hauling hay, or chucking some sheep in the back. Or them being used by the military, or construction companies. Those were the buyers of the Defender. This is just too fancy. It should have been like the Jeep Wrangler, made for the tough stuff, clean out with a hose, all the computer gizmos hidden from site and doing their thing unobtrusively.
