I have this album, and wish that some of the episodes were available. I just wish that the people who did this show would have realized that the screaming kids in the background was GOD AWFUL!!
There is a song that I can't find what the singers name is. It was on an episode where the youngest Hardy Boys lost his girlfriend I thought I heard the songs name was "IF" but I still can't find it . Can anyone help me find the song?
This is like The Hardy Boys solving mysteries AS a band. I always thought the idea for the show was probably derived from "The Flickering Torch Mystery", which pictured Frank and Joe on the cover playing their instruments.
@SkeebWilcox I own this album and it has some great tunes. Clean, well orchestrated, pop sound. This IS one of the best tracks. I actually like the track Namby Pamby too...soooo 60's!
Working on getting "Love And Let Love" on here within the next week or so. That and "Wheels" are the only other two Hardy's songs that I have at the present time.
As of right now, I don't believe there is an "official" CD. Many folks, however, offer the two albums on "homemade" CD's made from supposedly "pristine" LP's. Haven't heard any of them, though...
@SkeebWilcox likely a very rare pressing you'd bracket in the kiddie records section if a full LP or were a few 45's vinyl ones I'm not sure if they were part of the cereal box series of records like the archies, I'm too young to say but defenetly remember this cartoon being part of a hour block of assorted cartoons that switched daily or weekly of one offs or cartoons that were short or discontinued series back in the early 80's
@SkeebWilcox unless the "Here come the hardies" and "Wheels" are on itunes, amazon, ect...if OOP, then find them on blogspots. The only 2 albums i know of. Oh wait! there is a webpage of the Hardy Boys animated series I know of...
Back in 76-77 in Vermont, I had a Saturday cartoon ritual from 6 AM until noon. This show was in syndication there at either 6:30 or 7:00. I picked up a near mint copy of their debut LP a few years ago and was surprised to learn that future Grass Roots member Reed Kailing was in this group. Fans of Tommy Roe, The Archies and The Parade are highly recommended to seek this album out! Skeeb, do you have a clip of "(I Want You To) Be My Baby?" Thanks!
I'm kinda embarrassed to admit that long ago I figured out how to play this on my guitar. So cool to see it up here again. A definite guilty pleasure.
Great video! Keep on posting! Hope to see my favorite songs from the album, "Namby Pamby", "One Time In A Million", "I Want You To Be My Baby", "Those Country Girls", "Love and Let Love" and "Sink or Swim" and from the second album "Wheels", I'd love to see "Long Long Way From Nashville"...Hope the show comes to DVD soon...Seek out the albums if you don't have them!!! Never saw the cartoon and thought they were a "real rock band"
"Namby Pamby" and "My Little Sweetpea" are two of the greater Bubblegum songs of all time. The rest of the songs on the shows I have are either bad quality (show wise) or songs that I really don't consider some of their "better work"!! I will try getting another one or two...along with a show clip...on in a week or so.
That would be great! As I have never ever seen the cartoon...and how strange is that but have both albums!!! I think the first album was a lot better than the second...however if they continued as a group they could have progressed and competed with groups such as the Partridge Family, Josie and The Pussycats, Bugaloos, etc....what do you think?
keep,em coming, buddy! i have a CD of all the Hardy Boys songs, sometimes i play it on the Inflight Entertainment System in the plane {COAir} and the passengers LUV it! Bublegum is nice,no dirty language, etc.
Glad to see other fans out there. I have their 2 albums and own the acetate pressing for the song "Love And Let Love". My favorite song is "Baby This Is The Last Time" from Wheels.

"I still regard "Here Come The Hardys" as one of the finest albums of all time of any genre" How can you say that? It's such a generic song.
