Looks good for beginners, but not so much for those beyond because that stack doesn't look too big, especially since it's unloaded 40% on the positive. I guess it's better that way since for intermediates and advanced lifters, it would require a high negative load, causing severe muscle damage. Too much of a "good" thing for them. How heavy is the stack on that machine?
Here's exactly what I would like to see: A study using at least several subjects with standardized before/after photos showing what percentage increase in results these machines produce over standard machines.
There you have it - no results, no proof, no study = no sale
Clinical studies on negative resistance training have been done for decades. Private groups, universities, the government and even NASA have funded them. We don't have any affiliate with this company but having tried the equipment first hand, I can tell you the effect on the muscles is very different and much more effective as compared to standard equipment. You have every right to be skeptical, but be open minded too. If you get a chance, try the equipment and let us know what you think.
A picture is worth a thousand words, show me your results.
Anybody who knows anything about selling knows that you sell the hole, not the drill. What I see here is people trying to sell a drill by means of promises with no proof. Why is your drill better than other drills? There are lots of people selling drills (exercise machines.) Why should I buy this drill?
First off, it's not "my drill". I say again, I have no affiliation with the company that produces this equipment. I simply found some interesting equipment at the IHRSA convention, tried it for myself, and posted a video about it. Secondly, do you really put that much faith in pictures? Most "before and after" pics you see in magazines and blog ads are completely falsified and some are taken on the same day. Pictures are perhaps the easiest "proof" to fake.
I understand what you did and I thank you for informing us.
Yes, I do put a lot of faith in pictures. Although I know pictures can be faked, words can be faked much easier - a report on a scientific that merely tells you about fantastic results is not as believeable as photos showing the results too. I judge my own results by taking my own photos - they show my real results and I know they're not faked. What set Jones apart is that he sold results - "Look at the fantastic results I produced"
i am in this business for over 20 years and i know every little sentence of jones , mentzer and so on. but you say what you want...it is and was still not neccessary to do negatives. no one does this in real. no athlete i know and i know a lot. it sounds smart and everybody writes about it. but it is just good on paper. sorry, but this machines are only good for business and making money with people who have no knowledge and believe in old bb tales...
negatives aren't 'necessary' to build strength no, but negatives can build strength quicker than traditional lifts due to the ability to add a big chunk more weight. The problems lie in the fact that it is harder on the body and can't be done for only a few weeks, and it requires either special equipment or good spotters, making it impractical for most.
you never tried this mashines. how can you say that this waste of time? pluses of negative training now know everyone. yes you can do it with a parther help. but why? if with machine is more comfortable.
You´ve never seen the big guys helping each other out with the barbell Thats negative training for you read up before you rack down on something you obviously dont now anything about!!!
bullshit. i wonder why still after years over years there are still this myths and nonsens about negative reps. this machines are waste of time and money. sorry.
