  • ...why couldn't my husband figure this out . lol Thanks big big help!!!

  • Excellent that you've shared this. I've had problems with my sewing machine and you've described the symptoms and solution perfectly. Many thanks you've saved me money too :))))

  • Hi. I have mini sewing FHSM 202 but the the needle can not pull out the thread from bobbin, I mean the thread does not hook up with that hole. Would you please help me? Thanks a lot.

  • @Diba1240 Unfortunately I'm not sure what could be causing that. If you send a picture or video, maybe we can take a look and figure it out. Best of luck :)

  • Very clear video showing how the hook mechanism functions. Understanding this theory would work on most any model, you did a great job explaining without taking forever to get to the point.

  • You my dear are a life saver. I'm gonna work on fixing mine now!! Thanks!

  • Great video...the sewing machine I "plan" on repairing is not in my possession to make the necessary repair yet but I think this video gave me the information that I needed to manage it. Will post as soon as I can when done with repair. I had worked with the machine quite a bit before I saw this so do understand what this video is showing. Thanks and will get back to you soon.

  • Awesome video! Thank you so much!

  • I would like to say THANKS for your video. It gave me some good insight into the problem with my wifes sewing machine and Norm Himebaughs comments gave the proper alignments...Thanks agin....

  • Thought you should know, the screw you loosened to rotate the thread hook tightened onto a flat spot on the shaft for strength. You moved it to a spot on the shaft that is round thus..weaker. You should have made the adjustment at the far right at the belt pulley (2 screws) Correct timing is when the needle moves upward 2.5mm from its bottom position, the thread hook tip should be directly behind the needle in the straight stitch position

  • Loved your video, you did a wonderful job explaining what needs to be done. Have been having problem with Singer 247 and I think this is just what needs to be done to repair it. Thank you, thank you, thank you.......

  • @BREWSTER4700 did u fix the 247? I also have a 247 with the same problem though these machines appear too different to me...tips?

  • Thank you! I fixed the timing on my Kenmore last night. What a huge help!

  • thank you so much! You rock.

  • Thanks so much for your video. I, like you, do not like to pay to fix stuff that I can do myself. Your research and video helped me fix my machine in about 10 minutes.

  • Thank you very much. I think i have to change my gear.

  • This is wonderful! The video is so clear! Thank you for making this!

  • Thanks for saving me some money. Your video was very helpful and was exactly what i needed...

  • Thank you for this helpful video! Going to try to see what I can do!

  • Thank you, Nils. I am also a cheapskate. :) Despite your lack of "technical" knowledge, as you say, you explain things quite well. You showed exactly what I needed to know so I can adjust the timing on my machine. I'll be sewing again shortly! :D
