  • It was Ok for me to adjust, you simply have a low, mid range and high speed adjustment. Generally the low speed affects the high speed needle, so when you adjust the low speed, check the high speed again. I forget on the mid range adjustment. usually once you have it dialed in, you seldom need to mess with the needle settings. I run the engine a little on the rich side anyway.

  • it isn't too tricky to adjust. You get it to run Ok, then adjust the idle first. Then the midrange, then the high speed. The needles tend to affect each other. But the basic method is to adjust the low speed first and then work your way up to the high speed.

Yeah it was a touch too lean, But I didn't have the throttle stop set, so I was trying to avoid going too slow as I was taking the videos.

    Thanks for viewing.

  • The idle is a little lean, I can get 2300 rpm on mine.

  • Besides the two plugs and the needle bearings you mentioned, doesn't that engine have the 3 jet carburetor? If it does, then I've got one just like it, but have never mounted it on a plane. How hard are they to get adjusted? Looks like yours is adjusted very well.
