If she's such a great student why does she go to a community college (CBC). I go to that same college, but that's only because I'm still a junior in high school and I'm in running start. She was giving a presentation today and signing books at cbc. Plus, if the girls care so much about what people say why don't they listen to them and not get pregnant. How come they can ignore that, but not the insults/stereotypes? I would have asked her , but I had better things to do than go to see her speak.

Read her memoir, "The Pregnancy Project". The intent of her project was about breaking down stereotypes and while not to encourage teen pregnancy to encourage those teens who are pregnant that they can still do great things and beat the stereotypes.

Imagine you are one of the parents of her boyfriend and this girl announces that she's pregnant with your son's baby. Would you be happy or would you be sad? Or perhaps you'd be both sad and happy--at different times. However you respond, you're then told, 6 months later, that it's all a hoax. You went through an emotional roller coaster over a hoax. @LanaEveBeauty Sorry to break this to you, but movies are not real. Even if they are "based on a true story", they almost always contain more fiction than fact. I would not rely on a simplified dramatization for your information if I were you.

Lastly, even though I appreciate the message that she was trying to make, I don't think the negative consequences (i.e., lying to everyone) was worth it. Life is complicated and you have to weigh the pros and cons when making decisions.
