  • yeah! good work kid :D

  • very well, little keith moon. you are the best

  • AWESOME! My hat is tilted - try some some cover work next from Eric Carr from KISS, or John Bonam - you'll go far - otherwise, great Keith Moon covers

  • i think if he wan to play like keith moon , he cant do it ist to dificult

he dont learn wont get fooled again he just improvised

but he dont improvised like keith moon

  • @rennieallen Huh?

  • I think it would be good if he actually did try to learn the song, though, I know you said learning Keith Moon's version note for note wouldn't be in the spirit of Keith Moon's playing, but he did KNOW the song before he played it...there was a lot of good drumming in there, but not knowing how the breaks went sort of ruined it...just a little advice...he's better than I was at 11, but I didn't get a set until I was 12...

  • the people who disliked this r 30 year old drummers who just got owned by an 11 year old (:

  • @Stupidboy167 ROFLMAO!!!

  • That little kid gots talent! Rock on!

  • 19 people r fucking high

  • Holy shit! thumbs up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 19 dislikers

    *put on sunglasses*

    cannot play the drum

    YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!

  • evry time I watch this im amazed im fourteen and ive been taking leassons for I think its five years and I wish I could do this also I just upgraded my kit today and his is wwwaaaaaayyyy cooler im jealous!

  • @SirTilley

Thanks for the kind words. Neil is now also 14 (this video is 3 years old on the 25th of this month). Neil hasn't posted any vids to YT for a while, as he is focussed on school at the moment (plays drums daily at school and at church on Sunday).

  • @SirTilley its called playing from the soul!

  • WOW! Very good! All the best for a great future! ;-)

  • This youngster is off to a great start. His timming is very good, his flow around the drum set is very good and after a fill he's right back on the beat he never gets lost or unsure of where he is in the song. This young man is very impressive and should progress nicely over the years.

    Keep up the good work.

  • the son keith moon never had

  • i got a band, and it's nothing but older guys.....i wouldn't mind kicking our drummer out for this kid. lmao jkjkjk im to loyal to ma guys but seriously this kids got skills. keep it up kid. keith moon is a role model....xct for the horse tranquilizers and drugs, lol. keeps studyn the greats kid

  • @rennieallen oh i know, i just meant on the studio version...but yes i knolw exactly what u mean...he played he he wanted to...got me into the drums...still an awesome cover to rock's all time best anthem!

  • wolll dont think even chris slade woud have done such a cool cover cooooool kid

  • Apparemment, il a la chance d'avoir des parents qui le soutiennent beaucoup dans sa passion... Une batterie comme ça, en économisant de l'argent de poche...

  • AMAZING!!!!!! KEEP IT UP BUDDY!

  • WOW, IM IMPRESSED! incredibly tasteful playing. just got off time a few times. it helps to tap your left heal to count out the pauses to come in at the right time.

  • 18 people are always getting fooled again.

  • Did you happen to name him after Neil Pert.

  • :O awesome, awesome, awesome, only that awesome :O

  • its like this kid has been possessed by keith moon himself.....

  • this is some crazy assed shit

  • If you listen closely to the newer bands, there isn't a real drummer amongst them. They are just noise makers.......at least thats a lot of peoples opinions..........

  • No High-Hat.... Just like Keith Moon :)

  • Moonie would B pleased!

  • i know im drum alliterate but what are the tom kind things in front of the snare under the one crash and splash

  • Crazy good drumming! that would be good drumming at any age, but 11?!! wow.

  • This kid is great, but why do they keep teaching these youngsters all these ancient tunes?

  • @hatemorethanyou999 Why not, popular music back then was great, popular music today is mostly shit.

  • '@Ylviste There is great music today and ever since the 70's, we just don't get to hear it on the very unimaginative, take no chances corporate radio.

  • @hatemorethanyou999

Your right of course! There is plenty of great music today; fortunately, with the internet, no one need rely on corporate radio as the only source to get music...

@YIviste is also right... POPULAR music is not very good today... The Who was not only good, they were also popular.

  • @rennieallen I like some of there more obscure stuff even more--Odds and Sods, and By The Numbers so you are preachin' to the choir brother. I would just like to see more of the very talented and creative youth get their chance.

  • @hatemorethanyou999 Because modern musicians are almost all talentless hacks with no style, taste, or originality?

  • Holy fuck, I totally underestimated him. Great job!

  • j' ai commencé la batterie comme ça bonne continuation( mister noise tribute band in monaco )

  • Wow!!

  • amazing.... jaw dropping, and inspiring. keep up the amazing work

  • Poor guy failed at the end of the epic ending solo, but the rest was FRICKIN' AMAZING!

  • When I was his age, I had lots of problems at cymbal combinations. This kid's gonna be a fucking star, I can assure

  • this kid can drum ;), when he grows up he could start his own who band ;D hes got taste in music ;D Good luck kid

  • Awesome job! With his headphones on, it reminds me of when the roadies used to gaffer tape Keith Moon's headphones on for tracks that he sang, ie bellboy.

  • this friggen awesome! you are awesome! keep it up! :D

    p.s. loving the annotations ;)

  • damn, thats amazing

  • i have spent hours searching have never been able to find =[ still, very impressive!

  • INSANELY AWESOME.

how the hell did you get a copy of a drumless who track?!

  • Look everyone! It's the next Keith Moon.

Hopefuly without the drugs and alcohol though ;)

  • his name is neal? hmm, Little boy is ur dad neal pert?

  • WOW.

  • respect

  • Hard to sit still watching this kid............awesome!!!

  • the next keith moon

  • Now just practice the bass drum a lil more and you'll have it down perfect! 5/5!

  • holy fuck

  • @rennieallen That's probably the answer I was looking for, to re-tune my snare, it does sound a bit off anyway, thanks for the answer!

  • Good lord, I wish the rating system was back so I could complain about not being able to rate this higher than 5. That is just outstanding, keep up the great work!

  • So I guess it's regular for your snare to ring when you hit a tom unless you have a mic and you listen to it through that? I'm just trying to figure something out about my recording

  • Sheesh ~ 5 stars man ~

I tip my hat to the new constitution. And long live rock !!

  • im not going to lie, for 12 years old, he had has really good precision and accuracy, he will be successful i swear

  • Excellent drumming kid!!

BTW, that part you messed up after the keyboard solo - it was actually Keith Moon who messed up - you played it right ;-)

  • who da fuck disliked this?

  • that splash cymbal looks pretty neglected

  • If I listened to just the audio, I would never guess this is an 11 year old. Amazing! Keep up the good work!

  • g/j. keith moon is a pretty technical drummer to follow.

  • holy crap! hes better than me by far and im 15! keep him playing hes gonna be great

  • DUDE you play almost metter that me and im amlost 14! GREAT job dude ROCK on!

  • HOLY SHIT!!

  • Kid, don't take this wrong way, but YOU PLAY BETTER THAN KEITH MOON ever could, even on his best, alcohol and drug free day. But, you will never, ever be in a bigger band than The Who was in its day. and THAT is sad. You're great !!

  • @gaspo218 hey...dont disrespect moon like that...keith was the best drummer ever

  • hes bloody good for 11, love to jam with tht guy lol

  • hes bloooody good forr 11!

  • Pure Rock N Roll is in this guys blood! He was born to ROCK! Plus the volume on the song and his playing are perfect! When he's older, gigs will pay his way through college! Way to go bro!

  • good and all but your stick grip is all wrong and you wont be able to get ,much rebound thus stopping you playing fast enough and can lead to carpel tunnel syndrome

  • where did you get the drumless soundtrack from?

  • That kid is great!

  • Congratulations Neil !!!! I'm your fan.

  • @HILARIO977

    same opinion

  • I wish I had started drumming that young!

  • Ohmy god man this is freaking awesome rock on

  • OMG this is amazing!!!! You make it look so easy!

  • i love how eratic keiths drumming wass...

  • kid you are AMAZING!

  • Keith must be in the lineage. :o ) Great job, young man from a long time Who fan. Moonie is certainly lookin' down with a big grin. You have a wonderful talent and obviously great parents who support you. Also very good taste in music. Nothing like the "Orrible 'Oo" the best ever. Cheers mate!!

  • great playing no doubt but u should scrap those tomes over u highhats and slide the snare to the right other than that great kit

  • Bravissimo !!!

  • i've been drumming longer than you've been alive and i wish i could play like you

  • dude just a little word of advise play with the head of stick when u r doing the main grove on the verse, and the toms are a little bit too high keith moon used to play with medium tuned toms and urs are kind of high, besides that great job. Also i love the way u tuned ur snare that was perfect and it sounds good with just about anything.

  • munem

  • That's a hard song to play and you did it so natually!!

  • YEA!!!!!! That's perfect!!! Great drumming!!!

  • Wow i'm 16and i only use stick bags. This kid is 11 and owns a stick BUCKET! WIcked playing.

  • To keep up with Keith Moon says a lot about this kid, a prodigy.

  • Fantastic! In a few years you will be challenging my favorite YouTube Drummer... Claude from Switzerland!!! Watch out Claude!! At your age I was taking lessons playing on the corner of a piece of plywood in my teacher's basement.

  • Look at that little Mexican kid go!

  • Wow! Simply amazing! You are as good as many professionals that have been drumming for decades! Thanks for sharing that! I really enjoyed seeing that!

  • boy has a talant, i hope, that he would be a great drummer

  • the kid is a ...".BEAST"?! HAHAHA its true this kid is a ripper. Killer chops dude

  • holy shit cool

  • Way to go, to go out of your way to be a jackass!

  • Wow, this kid is really good.

  • @rennieallen

  • does Neil like the Beatles? Cause if he does i would love to hear some Beatles drum covers. BTW awesome job

  • Neil loves the Beatles (he currently sports a Ringo Starr style mop-cut).

Doesn't seem to like playing drums to the Beatles though (likes playing bass to the Beatles).
