  • This only works for those who have achieved self actualization and at that point they'd already be in control of it.

  • i understand what you talking about but when im deppresed i don't wana do nothing, thats the meaning of deppresed ,i only run when im happy ,if i run when im deppresed i wouldn't say that im deppresed .

  • @LegendColgo thats the point.

  • Spoken by a man who does Not understand depression at all.

Ask anyone who has clinical depression and you'll this guy has no clue.

  • I just got home from work. At work i had to stay an hour an a half after closing doing alot of work. I got home tired and sore. • I Really enjoyed the video and the channel. Wanted to say hi and make friends.

  • mycroft007. It is precisely what I believe to be semantic sloppiness by those who should know better that they leap into the age old assumption that the experiences labelled "emotions" are such rather than moods, types of stress and/or excitation flowing from any reaction to the environment. It is our range of cognitive skills and ability to take account of knowledge and previous experience which enables us to better appraise the likely consequences of any response to arousal of emotion.

  • mycroft007. In your example the stimulus, albeit imagined, induces the

physiological responses aroused by your perception of "threat" and it is the phsiological changes enabling you to cope with threat and your awareness of such changes that is emotion as a phenomenon. How you go on to re-act in behavioral terms may or may not involve additional cognitive activity and, in the same way how you "feel" in terms of sensations, thoughts, mood, however related to the emotion are discrete.

  • If you examine them further you will find that , whilst they variously refer-not to the

initial impact- but to behavioural responses, body language, facial expressions,

revised or new attitudes, adjustment of expectancies , beliefs and more particularly mood that we are simply labelling the consequences of emotion, as experienced, rather than the initial event . Assuming we "control" anything we may learn from an experience to face, more appropriately, changing circumstances.

  • Control of emotion is a myth. Emotion is the physiological change, and our awareness

of it from accompanying sensations, induced by a perception of threat or promise.

We attach labels to the consequences of such episodic experiences so that we have a large vocabulary of words to describe "emotions" e.g. anger joy, grief

rage etc. If you examine lists of "emotions" you will find that all are down to the initial appraisal of an inducing stimulus seen as either threat or promise.

  • @golsno147 This is mostly semantics. I can imagine something scary and it will cause a physical response. So which is the emotion? The thing I imagined that caused the physical reaction, or the physical reaction I termed "scary".

And the video talks about changing the physical response and therefore changing the emotion. Or causing and "emotion" by having a physical response.

It is true we label responses as emotions. We can learn to change those labels and hence control the emotions.

  • This helps alot, my girlfriend left me after 4 years. We were in a one sided relationship where she gave me so much and I gave her nothing while we were together she loved me showed me that I am worth something when I never felt that way, I verbally abused her sat at home didn't let her go out I was mean while she was nice. She had it and left I was depressed felt so insecure I go work out now I feel better about myself and I think clearly now. She left me cause she had nothing in return I didn

  • @champclay18 I got weed in my garden, its bad for the flowers, I use to cut it and throw it but everytime it grows back. Maybe its a sign, so I sould eat it and master my emotions, right?

  • Thanks I feel much more relaxed just seeing someone talk about how I feel

  • Great video! I always feel sad at school because I just got broken up with. This video helped so much! I'm now happier and now my ex-girlfriend is testing me saying she wants to get back together! Thank you! Keep up the good work!

  • Was this just an ad?

  • copy/paste from Tony Robbins

  • ronald jenkess in the intro

  • Dude GREAT clip. I love your energy.

  • with akk respect all this is stuff is from Tony Robbins .

  • Depression isn't all about being slumped over and slow talking. That's just a tired movie cliche and it's pretty sad that people believe it.

a person who seems like the happiest person in the world could still be depressed. It's about brain chemistry, not body movement.

  • Its highly unlikely...There is better ways to supress your emotions..like repressive meditations and achiving high mental control...it is a life long process...some people are doing it quite nice, but to achive that you need to be really intelegant.

Body move has nothing to do with strong mental depression...it can just occupie brain with other things for a bit. We would all like to control our emotional states....but its just too hard :) But grate advice if u get A in school and that...:D

  • @nebojsav I do agree with you for the most part. But it is also a proven fact that inactive people are more likely to feel depressed. I believe that with a fully toned body and mind, you run far less risk of becoming depressed.

  • everybody are shifting to greek ideologie and philosofie of life..

  • Hi there. If you like this, you might like my book at evolvingcaveman 'dot' com

  • if I knew how to gontrol my emotions i had been a really good footbal player , with my friends I do incredible stuff , I score goals that I don't even know how i did it ... but when I play at a club with over 1.000 people watching me , I am usless , i am scared , i can't control my emotions hope this video will help me

  • Don't mean to be rude but man... get to the point.

  • I think jumping up and down on the spot isn't the easiest thing to do when you're depressed.

  • You bald FUCK! ANSWER ME ABOUT THE JENKEES COPYRIGHT INFRINGMENT!

  • Do you have fucking permission to use Ronald Jenkees Music in this video? I doubt it. Reported and flagged for copyright infringement.

  • i wish i was a vulcan

  • Weed also really helps

  • @champclay18 or really hinders...long term for some weed can cause paranoia and anxiety....even sober

  • @IDM011 Please.....

  • @champclay18 LoL that's true it's a very good company :-)

  • @champclay18 indeed!

  • @champclay18

    Dude, try crack!!!

  • @champclay18 weed in the long run will ruin your emotions. weed supresses emotions so eventually you will be unable to respond properly to whatever it is your supposed to be feeling.

  • i dont need to run around the block to forget about being depressed i want to get rid of all my emotions altogether so i dont hav to worry about doing something rash as in killing a person by protecting my family i want to do it with out crying or worrying about it afterwards i want to be superer to human emotions i WANT THEM GONE FROM MY BODY can u do that if not ur no use to me

  • Without emotions there wouldn't be any reason to live, because just like a boat need navigation to know it's course we need emotions to know our course. If you feel negative emotions you are on the wrong course and if you feel positive emotions are on the right course. This is the design of the Universe!

  • Comment removed

  • mind and body are one unit and not seperate.

  • phiseology can cause emotions

  • I wouldn't walk on hot coals... Not because I'm lazy buy I kind of like my body and I don't want to burn it :)

  • LOL thank you i go swim for 2.30 hrs n feels much better

  • what about if you hide your emotions and fake smile yeah i thought soooo

  • I like this video, and infact it helped me alot its why i searched for it in the first place as i wanted to have some control our my irrational emotions taking over,(logic tells us if something is irrational or rational) but the physilogical aspect of things does play a large part in tricking your mind&manipulating your thoughts as to how you want them2work for you, i do believe thats one smart man in the video&i dont believe in big names-fame and money is overrated but admiration for earning it

  • Emotions are based on cognitive thought, not the physical movements, by performing physical exercises you merely make your mind do the same processes. I've always focused on self control through my mind alone, it's much more effective, your mind can control everything about your body as well as your thoughts if exploited properly.

  • Emotions stem from the mind not from the body. The body expresses what the mind feels. Within the video skit, you explain "Get this person to get up and jump around, get up and smile, breath deeply, run around, go exercise!" The key point is not the activity. The key point is that another living being has to stimulate the unstimulated being. The stimulation occurs first within the mind not within the body. Thought proceeds actions.

  • So this is just a video to HIDE your true emotions from the people that care about you.

Wow, what a bullshit video, good work, no stars.

  • True emotions? That's an oxymoron if I ever heard one. Emotions have nothing to do with truth. That is what logic is for my friend. Changing your emotions physiologically is not hiding anything or deceiving anyone. You sound like you didn't even watch the video.

If you want to criticize it for something, criticize the blatant Tony Robbins ass-kiss marketing.

  • i get very angry 4 no reason and take it out on ppl so i started kick boxen but i left wot else could i try

  • There is never no reason and it's usually cognitive, the way the mind perceives a situation or something.

Try a meditative martial art, Aikido or Tai Chi and/or include some form of yoga for athletic flexibility and suppleness.

Essentially practise not thinking and relaxation.

Poise and balance is a better place to be than fractiousness and lack of control.

    But not from the ego.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

  • this vid cured my depression thx m8 -raza out-

  • what about sorrow? the best way to end up your feelings is not to get rid of them but to look at them and the very act of looking will make you realize that you are what you feel thus ending that feeling from j.k

  • Tony Robbins is a plagiarist he's never come up with an original idea in his life.

His business principles were so effective his first business went bust!

Nothing like the blind leading the blind.

Buddhists have had this covered for over 1,500 years, they are the greatest cognitive thinkers on the planets surface.

I still have the 10 tape series on ultimate power I bought nearly 20 years ago from Mr Robbins to remind me not to get suckered again.

It's the only purpose they serve now.

  • smudge6699 I want you to kow just because it did not work for you does not mean it didnt work for others , is what you do with what you have I have made a million $ thanks to this teachings and im only 24 no college education at all only teachings like the ones Tony teaches, a 100 people will go to the seminars and only 20 or 50 will understand the teachings, I feel bad that you have wasted 20 years of your life with this imformation in your closet !

  • I'm indebted for your concern.

Some people appreciate the value of things beyond money.

There's no need to feel bad but I can understand why you do from your reply.

I'm in no closet, I move through the people.

  • Great message but disgusting manipulation technique to get people to ' invest ' in Tony Robbins. I hope for a day, that somebody can get this same message to people without expecting a financial return.

  • And btw you lied at the beginning... today we ar goona ... sell you Tony Robbins. Also your highlighting of differnt kinds of robbins critics is pathetic. I hope others see thru this crap

  • Did I not teach a method of controlling your emotions?

I thought it would be unethical to not tell people where I learned this. Not all of it came from Tony, but enough that he deserved credit.

  • As I said, great message. Greed (financial and fame) is the driving and hidden emotion here. Baloney Bobbins certainly got enough credit.. over 2 minutes of the 6 minutes video.

  • do something with your life how many people have you change there life ? how many ? how many people do you feed for free ? like tony ? who do you help ?not me !!!!!! I have made lots of money and help many people thanks to this man !!!!! asshole

  • my friend if you get the imformation for free you will do nothing with it you have not sacrifice anything most people do nothing with what is giving to them for free they dont know how to appreciate it , have you giving someone a book to read because you think it will help them , try it I bet they wont read if they buy it there is a better chance!!!!!! plus is call a business imformation business dont buy books them tell barns and nobles to give them to you for free retard

  • I've given many people books to read and many have bought their own copies when they see the relevance of the practice.

I treat the mentally ill, and therefore maybe I am a retard too

This is the usual retort from someone like you.

  • @cisumesouh I agree somewhat, but please understand that he also has to make a living. He's giving people a lot of free stuff here on youtube, and the key is to use it. Use it for free, and let me tell you, one day go to his live events and gladly pay for it. Very few people on the planet can get you as high as he can and champclay18, weed has no chance against Tony Robbins. Yes I have gone to one of his weekend events and it was and still is absolutely powerful.

    cisumesouh, use the freebie

  • Excellent video.

    You are absolutely right!

  • i do not understand how this could apply to all people of this world who are dealing with their emotions

  • you da man.... thanks
