The last shot in the video is exceptional. I am considering doing a movie set at the beach by all blue or green screen. I'm not sure how it would turn out.
I used Premiere Pro's blue screen effect for this one, they don't have one for green screen though. You'd have to use After Effects for that. One way to improve it is to do multiple chroma key effects in After Effects, like three maybe, each with a slightly different shade of green that exists near the subject. Good luck!
The real trick is having an even, well lit blue screen. I didn't have blue screen yet for this so I ran a blue loop on my large TV set and stood infront of it. Reflecmedia Media makes reflective blue/green screens that have the same even color. Do a search for "Reflecmedia Chroma Key Video"
Sorry I never replied to this. The magic bullet stuff happens after the keying, so it has no effect on the key. I think I did them all together, but ordered them in the effects list such that the keying happened first.
Aah cool! Thanks. I hadn't thought of video effects to be like audio plug-ins in that respect. I've been editing for 5 years and I didn't know you could change the order. Duh! Cool stuff. Let's have another accapella when you get a chance! Take care.
I only have CS3, but I think it installs the same way. It goes into your video effects section in CS4. Just search for "Looks" and it should be the only thing that shows up. If you edit the look it should pop open a look editor window where you can choose from their library of looks on the left panel, edit them, or make one from scratch from the right panel of effects.
Nope. It's a diffusion effect in Magic Bullet Looks, a separate plug-in software for Adobe Premiere Pro. You can get it from redgiantsoftware(dot)com. I think Adobe After Effects might have a similar effect as well.
You don't need a great camera to do blue screen though. You just need a camcorder that can download video to your laptop. Then you can use free software like Blender blender(dot)org to do anything from blue screen video editing to 3d graphics.

You may also need to adjust settings for feathering and harshness.

Hey Jesi - when you have pulled a key then added Magic Bullet filters on a clip, does your key get messed with when you adjust the looks?
Nice ocean shot by the way.

Make sure your pc and video card meet the minimum requirements. It lists them on the website.
