  • The last shot in the video is exceptional. I am considering doing a movie set at the beach by all blue or green screen. I'm not sure how it would turn out.

  • ♥☆♥ Congrats on your 4th YouTube Anniversary, Jesi! ♥☆♥◦.¸¸.◦☆♥◦.¸¸.◦☆♥

  • I used Premiere Pro's blue screen effect for this one, they don't have one for green screen though. You'd have to use After Effects for that. One way to improve it is to do multiple chroma key effects in After Effects, like three maybe, each with a slightly different shade of green that exists near the subject. Good luck!

  • You may also need to adjust settings for feathering and harshness.

  • The real trick is having an even, well lit blue screen. I didn't have blue screen yet for this so I ran a blue loop on my large TV set and stood infront of it. Reflecmedia Media makes reflective blue/green screens that have the same even color. Do a search for "Reflecmedia Chroma Key Video"

  • Hey Jesi - when you have pulled a key then added Magic Bullet filters on a clip, does your key get messed with when you adjust the looks?

Nice ocean shot by the way.

  • Sorry I never replied to this. The magic bullet stuff happens after the keying, so it has no effect on the key. I think I did them all together, but ordered them in the effects list such that the keying happened first.

  • Aah cool! Thanks. I hadn't thought of video effects to be like audio plug-ins in that respect. I've been editing for 5 years and I didn't know you could change the order. Duh! Cool stuff. Let's have another accapella when you get a chance! Take care.

  • Stoped by and i love your work!! And the fact you share your info

    Well Done!!

  • i have no idea how to use magic bullet looks with my adobe premiere pro cs4, i think i installed the plug in right, could you help me :) ?

  • I only have CS3, but I think it installs the same way. It goes into your video effects section in CS4. Just search for "Looks" and it should be the only thing that shows up. If you edit the look it should pop open a look editor window where you can choose from their library of looks on the left panel, edit them, or make one from scratch from the right panel of effects.

  • thanks

    it now seems so easy

  • What's the really nice relaxing song in the background? Would love to know!

  • haha. Its from the soundtrack for "The Notebook".

  • This is perfect!!!

How can I download it????? I use Premiere Pro Cs3

  • The colorizing software? IT's Magic Bullet Looks from redgiantsoftware(dot)com.

  • Is it too expensive???

  • $399. But they are having a 40% sale soon.

  • well, i have magic bullet now, but it doesn't work in my pc!

"one or more Opengl extensions are not suported in this system"

  • Make sure your pc and video card meet the minimum requirements. It lists them on the website.

  • Awesome!

  • Great!!

  • thx for the help mate

  • Thats nice.. how did u do that at 0:04? u blur it? because that made it look kinda real.. i use premeiere pro

  • Nope. It's a diffusion effect in Magic Bullet Looks, a separate plug-in software for Adobe Premiere Pro. You can get it from redgiantsoftware(dot)com. I think Adobe After Effects might have a similar effect as well.

  • beautiful!!^^

  • that's pretty impressive looking.

  • Thanks! I would like to take credit, but the software did most of the work :)

  • DVX100b is where its at

  • That's it, hand over your software and nobody gets hurt. lol

    great stuff

  • what beach was that?

  • I have no idea, I ripped it from another YouTube video. It was one of those meditation ones.

  • you look like a model

  • whoa, that's awesome.

  • that looked great. mind if i ask what camera you use?

  • Thanks! I used a Canon XH-A1. I just used it in 24P SD mode (can also do 24P in 1080i HDV).

  • how much was that cam?

  • $3,299.95 on bhphotovideo(dot)com.

  • HOLY CRAP! im only 14 and cant get a job...holy crap

  • You don't need a great camera to do blue screen though. You just need a camcorder that can download video to your laptop. Then you can use free software like Blender blender(dot)org to do anything from blue screen video editing to 3d graphics.

  • well i mean i want a quality camera...its a long story...mines crappy

  • cool
