That is quite an impressive plane! To me it looks like a C-130's little brother. In my mind, that looks like a plane that would be money well spent for an air force looking for a high performance light transport. 5***** by the way!

FALSE. The VH-71 Kestrel is built by Lockheed-Martin under license from AugustaWestland NOT L-3 Com/Alenia that makes the C-27J.

I really don't see the point in this airframe at all. A C130 J can take off in 500 ft of runway and carry 5 more pallets than the 27. if anyone knows anything i dont about why we should spend taxpayer dollars on this plane please enlighten me.

C-130s cannot routinely operate from strips as short as C-27Js.

@stjimmyausundeinz They are 2 different category of airplane, Italy has the C130 and the C27 (or G222) and use them in different kind of missions. It's like to have the F15 and the F16 on line in the same time...
