  • che schifezza, eliminate questa sporca puntata, fa venire il cancro.

  • instead of cigarettes i should have pulled a pack of comdoms and have a nice party with those girls.

  • @TheLaughingMan0603

AMEN to that brother! I always found those two women hot as hell, even as a young kid!

  • Only idiots call something that causes cancer good.

  • Winstons are pretty good honestly.

  • it's funny, now a days it is such a shocker, but back then smoking was WAY more socially acceptable

  • @xoxLettermanxox not only was it socially acceptable, it was recommended by doctors

  • haha turn off the audio and turn on the captions. they talk about assault rifles, political victories, black voters lol

  • Barney you disappoint me... You could have pulled out a bag of snoochieboochies and had a better time with the girls...

  • WTF?! DX

  • remember, this was not a saturday morning cartoon when it started. It was on prime time and had an adult audience. Much like the Simpsons and Family Guy are today. Winston advertised on most every prime time show back then, however I don't think they ever advertised on Saturday morning kid shows.

  • They need a 12-pack of Brew .....

  • OMG I can't believe it!

  • WOW! thats all i got

  • This is wrong. Very wrong.

    But it's also funny.

  • its real, i had the question tonight on trivial persuit

  • no smoking!!!!!!

  • That gotta be an edit, the shit looks like a simple copy and paste.

  • It's not an edit. It's the real thing from the 60s.

  • Its real.

  • flinstones was not a kids shows

  • my how times have changed. wow.

  • WHUT!!!

  • WOW! They really did advertise cigarettes on kids shows. I thought that was just BS until now.

  • like everyone else said, flinstones was not intended to be a kids show, but im sure plenty of kids watched it

  • My gosh....and it was Barney´s idea...I can´t believe it...he always seemed to be the most equilibrated one of the pack...

    Emerson

  • Well the commercial owner people made it that way...so I guess in a sense maybe it wasn't entirely Barney's idea? lol..

  • haha, even the Nazis before WW2 knew smoking was bad, they were the first to try to ban it and did research on it to prove it was harmful. One of the few things they actually got right.

  • I thought it was a clever ad. you have to put yourself in the time period, where the long term effects COULDN'T be determined, because the technology to discover it wasn't nearly as old as the people would ahve to be to die from it. I smoke, but its because i enjoy it most of the time and became addicted in the process, not because of any propaganda in television or movies.

  • ahem everybody!!

this was aired in the 1940's this has nothing to do with the smoking in modern times. in the 40's and 50's smoking was very popular it was a fashion. now its a curse and this is because we are now aware of the dangers of smoking and in those days we weren't.

  • Actually it was the 60's. Otherwise your correct.

  • black and white in the sixties? o.O

  • Television wasn't really "commercial" until the mid 50's. The first airing of the Flintstones was Sept 30, 1960. Many sets were black and white and recordings could easily be B&W even today. Most shows were not broadcast in color until 1967, and still most homes had not bought a color set.

  • chrisstorvik; first off FLINTSTONES werent created till 1959- and dont think that nobody thought cigarettes didnt kill you back in the 1940 & 50's -they didnt call them coffin nails back then for nothing- however i could show you ads where "doctors" would state that it was actually healthy to smoke

  • As a kid who watch the T.V. back in them days. It was like programed. Into my mind.Like this banned flinstones cartoon I song right along.. Winston taste good like a "CIGARETTE" Should.......

It just goes to show you.....

  • this episode wasn't banned when it originally aired in the united states, it is only banned now because all cigarette television ads are unlawful. Right?

  • Where I live, more teens than ever are smoking. I don't think banning commercials like this has had any effect.

  • good thing it was banned...and people wonder these generations are dropping like flys. it's not all fast food.
