B-Bass, The Hoftner Viola as it's also known. Gets a light hollow,wood sound. Perfect for Help!,Eight Days a Week, Hard Day's Night, Ect. Good luck, also the original hoftner is 500$, but Epiphone knock offs can be found for 100-300$ still sound good but not the best.

Ye if i were you i would learn a finger tehnique called the walking pitch squeal you use your index finger to push your pinky through the strings. It gives you an amazing sound and hendrix even used it.
