When I came to this level I had one of those, "WTF?" moments. A cannon was turned into bubble shooter operated by a mole and then you smash the cockpit to break it, and then you get in the cannon and fling out ang get some rainbow star and run around kiling little pink walking octopuses that spit rocks, and then you grab a flower that lets you throw fireballs. There's also a planet that you can spin a screw that deinflates a planet with coins inside of it. Then theres wizards and junk w/ bubbles

AND THEN you go to a planet that has flying fish jumping around, and finally a watermelon inside a glass orb that you fling tennis balls at and the watermelon grows until it explodes and gives you a star. Random indeed. o__o And then there's the Boo in a Box mission.

Also, instead making my way towards the gunner at the begining of the level, jumping on him and ground-pounding him, I always spin attack those coconuts into him, I find that way much quicker.

@katiekat9988, the Cheep Cheeps bounce about as high as Mario jumps. So it's hard to get on top of them. It's also hard to get the right timing for when they're bouncing your way...

You don't need ice mario, you can just jump up the platform near the ice flower. Do a backwards jump, then wall jump and then spin to get near it.

I remember I didn't know how to get there... So instead of getting ice Mario I used the cannon and turned it all the way to the left and tried to shoot myself to the moving platforms on the other side.. It took me about 20 tries. At least I found a shortcut.. but a hard and risky one.

When Mario is running, crouch, then jump. It's the same as in Mario Sunshine and Mario 64.

It's also in the manual, of course.

The Deep Dark Galaxy can mess you up bad if you don't know what you're doing. It's not a particularly hazardous one, actually, but a time-consuming one.
