  • those 13 dislikes are faggots

  • @linus7106 some how it went up 1ns and come on that's offencive to faggots every where

  • There is no such thing as the Mexican Hat Dance, its just an American term. It refers to El Jarabe Tapatio. But this music is actually a mix of two different ones, La Raspa and El Jarabe.

  • Someone could have at least told Pancherello to move his big ass sombrero somewhere else while this was being filmed.

  • bueno la intención es lo que cuenta jejeje

  • @StupiddHobo It's the Mexican Hat Dance. There's no artist, this is a midi track.

  • WTF!!!!! I Live in México and i never seen that "Mexican Hat Dance"

  • @imk0z awww.. don't get so worked out about it. If you Youtube for Mexican Hat Dance, you'll see how I got the idea for it. :)

  • @royaltylites

I Can see now why u r so confused about that "Mexican hat Dance"

  • @imk0z sigh.. blame the internet ;)

  • @royaltylites ok, however i don't mind any more

  • We can dance if we wanna, we can leave your friends behind.

  • y r there asians

  • what's the name of the song?

i am doing a culture study and i have to teach my class this dance

  • you made my wife mad , that is not a mexican dance, just letting you know. and that song.. it's just repeated.. it is wrong.

  • @JBCBlank AY DIOS MIO !!! CALL MEXICAN POLICE !!! lol honestly dude its a great song and they had fun doing it (or at least the one smiling did)

  • The music might be mexican, but the dancing it is not... What your danced is known as Flamenco/Flemish or what ever it is called...

  • This is so odd...its not multi-culturual....to think a Pakistani got their "info" from this video. I guess we can put video's of misunderstood cultural aspects, and claim its "cultural". Then tell other people to use it.

I guess for my "Intercultural project" i'll dress up as a samurai cutting sushi, and calling myself Chinese.

  • r the people danceing mexican? they look asin

  • @Pam787 I'm Asian. Read description. It's a performance for my Intercultural class 3 years back :)

  • @Pam787 Whats wrong with asians dancing like mexicans? I think its cool

  • The melody during which the girls clap belongs to another melody, not originally to the "Jarabe Tapatio" (known as the "Mexican Hat Dance"). I've noticed that, when out of Mexico, these pieces always played together, although they have different origin.

I don't understand either why Mexican music is danced in other countries with typical Spanish movements (like the clapping and the word "Olé!". You'll never hear a remix version like this in Mexico.

  • @HoKynikos

WHHAAT!!?? You mean that Mexicans dont clap their hands when dancing and ea Paella, drink red wine, watch Barca loose to Intermilan....and you mean Spaniards dont eat chorizo with eggs and drink tequila and listen to Norteno? ARE YOU SERIOUS...

THANK YOU... YOU MADE THESE PEOPLE LOOK STUPID FOR DANCING TO THIS CRAP.

  • wrong

  • I love this tune so very very much

  • Tell that idiot in the sombrero to get lost.. he is blocking a view of the girls' beautiful dancing.

  • Comment removed

  • Don't you mean beautiful girls' dancing?

  • @Petroskeyful

He looks kind of dead .

  • @Petroskeyful BAHAHAH I thought he was gonna get in on the action but never did

  • Why is it called hat dance?

  • The real dance in Mexico was danced around a huge sombrero. Correct me if I am wrong though (if there are any Mexicans reading this), I didn't really do an in-depth research on the dance. =)

  • Ah, ok. Thanks.

  • @Chaosdada because initially and even now sometimes hats are used in it in this version only the girls are dancing but in couple dance men use hats most of the time

  • wow that guy has one big sombrero

  • I hope you are talking about his hat.......

  • I have posted a video responce trying find out is a mexican hatdance done in male female couples or in women and women couples what is a real mexican hat dance???

  • Not sure how it first started, but I think in early days, only the men danced. In this age of globalization, I don't think gender is really a huge issue when it comes to dancing :)

There were only 2 of us dancing because no one in my group (it was Intercultural Communication class , 3 years back) knew how to dance.. le sigh!

  • Mexican pride :) I love this video it expresses the beauty In Mexican dancing. OH and one more thing....SOMEONE! GET THE GUY IN THE HAT OUT OF THE WAY!!!! :D Thankx

  • Hot

  • this was really awesome thanks for posting it really cool.i am from Pakistan.we are doing a show on the different cultures and this video was heaven for us we did the performance entirely on this even though the skirts r more colorful both audio and video quality r great the music was really lively all our friends love it

  • Do you have a dance from Pakistan? I would love to see it :D

  • i l post it as i soon as i get it but be warned it was elementary school kids doing it i am a junior in high school i tried to teach them but they had almost a week and it is a short time for them but you l like that .................. i hope

  • beautiful ladies thanks

  • OLE! loved the turning camera forgot how much i love mexican dancing

  • You SHOULD get back into dancing!! =D

  • mexicano esse'

  • We have chosen Mexico for our tables Christmas party theme. We have to get up and a do a piece from that country.

I thought we could do the Mexican Hat Dance. It's the first time I have seen the full version so thankyou very much especially the senorita who was the most enthuiastic, made it enjoyable to watch.

  • Great stuff! Interesting how the girl in the low-heeled shoes seems to be more into it than the girl in the high-heeled shoes. And why the heck does the cameraman turn the camera sideways at the end? Inquiring minds want to know! :)

  • OLE!

  • I desperatly need an mexican hat now or Im dead, long story no time for explanations!!

  • Great dancer!!! I'm learning this song on the piano and I found your rendition superb. May I ask what your ethnic background is? What other types of dance do you do? Do you also sing or play any instruments?

  • @Bewisefools Hey! Sorry I just saw this comment. I am Malaysian Chinese - that means, I am ethnically Chinese but NOT from China (don't know why people always have to perceive that just because one is Chinese he/she has to be from China) my nationality is Malaysian (so are my parents, grandparents, great grand parents?). I did everything from ballroom to ballet to contemporary, though kinda suck at hip hop/breakdancing. Yes I sing, and I was in the school band -percussions and E-flat horn :)

  • @royaltylites sorry but why are you saying this????

  • Where is the hat?

  • INTERESTING!!!! GOOD JOB! nice to see that people from other race like our mexican dance.

  • WOW... que bonitas señoritas mexicanas, bailan muy bien "La Raspa", contagian su alegria, felicidades y gracias por bailar nuestras danzas. Saludos desde México.

  • firs dance i ever learned was this in the 4th grade.... they cut the music program.. so sad that we dont have better music programs in school

  • bueno!

  • Me gusta this song! Which one is you?

  • One on the right (with the character skirt and shoe) =D

  • you are cute :)

  • their outfits are sooo cute! makes me want to dance! lol

  • MUY BIEN :)

  • This tune is a theme song of a great comedian in Japan.

  • Where did you get this song? Can you send it to me please?

  • mexican hat dance? lol anywhere

  • what's this song called? its not called jarabe tapatio, that's what the dance is called. Can someone please tell me! I need to know for a school project.

  • The one on the left seems a bit off

  • Probably b/c she's doing it in stilettos!! Not a safe idea.

  • how ccan that girl do it in heels?!?!?!

  • May I spin you right round, like a record baby? Round round round?

  • omfg

  • the song is called JARABE TAPATIO

  • looks like Grade4,5,6 ballet steps combined haha. nice x)

  • Great Dancing skills that looked like lots of fun

  • Excellent dancing. Did you choose to do that dance or we you asked to by teachers?

  • Thanks! I chose it =)

I don't know what other dances are there in the Mexican culture. Plus, songs are pretty hard to get :)

  • lol, ok. Yes mexican dances are difficult to learn but you certainly mastered that one

  • Sasha you're my hero :)

Though I think the music reminds me of small Austrian villages lost in the Alps, rather than Latino America ^^

So now, you'll have to teach me this one too, in addition to the waltz ;) That is, if I make it from Chiang Mai to BKK.......

(From : a stupid French girl)

  • ariba riba

  • Did a good job, I probably woulda murdered myself trying not to trip over my own feet or prevent myself from laughing while dancing.

  • youtube has a lot of weird shit....

    :P

  • Cool!!! Now I see why my friend wanted to do a Mexican Dance for P.E.!

  • brilliant, i love that song. How can they do that dance in high heels for goodness sake. Thats mad

  • HAHA! Well, my friend was wearing a Ballroom Dancing shoe. I wore a Character Shoe (the heel is much wider) =D

  • yes i see. anyway, excellent dancing, i wonder what would happen if i tried to do that. SPLAT, ooops, i think i broke something, ROFL

  • Very nice!

  • When I went to the Mexican Pavillion at Epcot Center in Disney World, I didn't see anyone dancing to this song, are you sure it's really Mexican?

  • The song is called 'The Mexican Hat Dance' i think.. not very sure. But if you YouTube it, you can see a whole load of other people doing the Mexican Hat Dance too. Cheers!

ps: Disney World does not really cover much i guess. Just a culture in general?? *shrugs* No idea though.

  • I was just being a jackass.

  • No worries. Used to it ;P

  • Hi u dance well. May i know where u get this music. Can u sent to me this music?

  • thank you!
