  • Yes Doug Gray is the only original member of the MTB. I'm a fan since the self titled album was released in 73, and to me, the band never fully recovered after the bands leader and visionary Tommy Caldwell died tragically in a car wreck around 1980. It's the songs from the 70's that keep the band going. R.I.P. Tommy & Toy Caldwell (just my opinion)

  • Thanks for posting, great song. Doesn't Toy Caldwell sing on the studio version?

  • @ProductionTech Yes he does.

  • The Wintergarden in Dallas Texas in 1977, this tour. I was there and jamming........ and drinking some good bourbon. Mighty Fine Band

  • Thanks for posting. This is awesome. What ever happened to Toy Caldwell? I saw MTB about a year ago and they had a different lead singer. Some of the other guys may not have been the original guys either. They were good, but not the same. I forgot how great these guys were.

  • @LMUDewey Toy died around 1991 - heart failure or something like that. He had already split from what was left of the band. Most of the others had too I think. . Doug's voice has been shot for a ling time, but he keeps touring. I saw them once around 2007- won't get fooled again.

  • @Jamdor78 Thanks for the update. Although I now live in Texas, I first discovered MTB in Los Angeles back in the 70"s. People out there are nuts, but some of us had the good sense of listening to great music. Thanks again.

  • This album came out summer I got my drivers license. So many memories cruising with the 8 track blasting MTB.
