It seems like a lot of people saying that Floridians don't talk like this come from southern Florida. Further up north we talk more like this, although you sound like you're trying for Louisiana and valley girl or something. It was a bit distracting. Otherwise, I loved it.

I like to say that the accent in florida starts to dissapear the further south you go untill eventually people stop speaking english as their primary language....most of florida really doesn't have an accent ...mainly just the north and some parts of inland florida.....i would find it strange to meet someone in tampa that grew up with a southern accent

LOL...I really enjoyed that. I lived in Florida for a while, and actually, that would be a decent northern Florida accent, because they are more southern belle :-) The rest of the state tends to be transients though. Great job!
