wow beatyful fly´n. I´m thinking of buying the su27 now, i wonder is it underpowerd or not? It seems to fly well in low speeds thow and with the camera too nice:-)
The plane came with a speed 400 motor and gearbox, but I swapped that out for a 115watt brushless with gearbox setup and 3 cell LiPo. It would climb vertical almost out of sight.
Man that's really great!!!Just like real...I wish they made a static cam for the plane and at the same time for remote control:)that would be like playing a video game but in best graphics:)
They make systems called FPV or first person view. You wear camera glasses or watch on tv what the plane is doing in real time. Search FPV here to check them out.
There are a few systems out there that include transmitters... (Mine is just a simple USB camera and records to onboard memory.) You can even get video glasses that show from your aircraft camera in real time with the transmitter systems.
This aircraft is generally for intermediate flyers, and does not take a crash well. Almost anything high wing is easy to fly, and some flying wings are quite robust. Check out the Stryker. Cool, fast and robust...
Do you recall the brand name and/or where you purchased it? I'm looking for a similar arrangement to adapt to me Multiplex Twinstar II. Thanks for any info you can provide!
thats what i had in mind too, when i start on my flankie.
and i am probably not going to link the canards(i got an Su-37 supa flankie plans) to pitch control, but maybe letting it vane in to the angle of attack, since all super flankies vids i've seen seems to have never used the canard as pitch control, maybe as extension of the wing slats.
Yes, it's built from scratch. You can find my video (linked to my username), or alternatively, by searching YouTube with the following keywords: cobra RC su. Please feel free to comment on it! Thanks!
The camera is an Apitek 5in1 unit with 128mb of onboard memory and it's own power source. Unfortunately destiny got the best of this bird before I was able to get video from the ground. It will be rebuilt eventually as an SU-37 with operable canards and possibly thrust vectoring.

It certainly is small enough, but the view is not very good and the quality suffers a lot. (It is about the size of a typical USB thumb drive.)

Great video of a great flight!
I have similar bird (Su-30), with thrust vectoring. Looking forward seeing your Su-37 too!

SU-30? Is that the Jetset44 design or a scratch build? Got video?

nakazatoGTR 4 years ago
You in Canada?
Nope, no black Mirage crashes here...
TheEnemySU37 4 years ago
i meant a black rc mirage.
i saw a vid of it, after tip-stalling at low alt.
the scenery looks quite familiar.
